🐶💙 A little reminder about matted coats 💙

Please remember to brush your dog regularly between grooming appointments! 🪮

When a coat becomes badly matted, the mats can sit tightly against the skin and brushing them out can cause your dog pain, stress and skin damage.

Sometimes, the safest and kindest option is to clip the coat very short, even if that’s not the haircut the owner wanted. ✂️🐾

As groomers, we don’t choose to shave a badly matted dog for cosmetic reasons — your dog’s comfort and wellbeing always come first. ❤️

A few minutes of regular brushing at home can help prevent painful matting and keep that beautiful coat healthy!

If you’re struggling to maintain your dog’s coat, please ask your groomer for advice. We’re always happy to help, never judge. 🥰
