It was lovely to meet Kitty today - a 16 year old rescue who had been struggling to groom her coat as effectively as she used to, and had developed a few mats.
The mats were clipped out, her eyes and ears cleaned, a dry shampoo worked through her coat, and a good comb out to remove a mass of undercoat almost as big as Kitty herself! ☺️😍
You were amazing Kitty - stayed very calm and well behaved throughout. It was a pleasure getting to know you! ❤️🐾

To all my wonderful clients,
I wanted to let you know that from mid-September I will be taking a break from dog grooming.

This has been a very difficult decision, but for personal reasons and my own well being I feel I need to take a step away for a while.

At the moment I don't know exactly when I'll be returning, so I won't be taking any bookings beyond mid-September. I do fully intend to come back to grooming when the time is right, and I'll let everyone know as soon as I'm ready.

I would like to say a heartfelt thank you for your understanding, support and loyalty over the years, and lots of you are much more than clients to me now. It truly means so much, and I've loved caring for all of your wonderful dogs.

Thank you for your patience, and I hope to see you all again in the future. ❤️🐾

I will be honouring all appointments up until September 11th, and will be in touch with anyone booked in after that.

Lovely Barry came in for a good de shed, and removal of a couple of small mats. The amount of fur that came out during the groom was amazing, so I’m sure he felt much better and cooler in this heat afterwards! He was such a good boy too 😍🐾🐈‍⬛

Had the absolute pleasure of grooming this beautiful boy today ❤️. He had a number of mats and needed a bath and freshen up, and was so well behaved throughout the process even though it is something he is nt used to! He was purring and giving lots of affection afterwards. 😍🥰🐾.

Just to reassure clients who have grooming appointments with me over the next few days, with the heatwave forecast, I am still working as normal at the moment as I have air conditioning and a cooling fan in my grooming salon, in addition to blackout blinds to help keep the air temperature lower.
I am bathing all dogs in cooler water, and using the cool setting on the drier to prevent over heating. There is also cold water available for the dogs to drink and they will have regular access to this during their groom.
If you have any concerns, or are not able to safely get your dog to me (ie in an air conditioned vehicle) please let me know and we can reschedule.

It’s been a lot of work, but I ve finally completed my Professional Diploma in Cat Grooming and Welfare, with a distinction! I ve been training at KD Grooming in Wincanton, with Kelly Davis, a highly qualified and experienced groomer and winner of ‘Pooch Perfect’ TV grooming show.
I ve learned so much and gained so much experience and grooming techniques - it’s been amazing!
Looking forward to welcoming many more cats to Simply Pawsome and putting my skills and new knowledge to good use!
