🐢 WHY CHOOSE A REPUTABLE SELLER FOR YOUR HERMANN’S TORTOISE?

When purchasing a Hermann’s tortoise, price shouldn’t be the only consideration. Legality, traceability and correct documentation matter.

Here in Northern Ireland, the rules are not necessarily the same as those applying in Great Britain. This is something every professional seller dealing with protected species should understand.

Our Hermann’s tortoises are supplied with the appropriate CITES documentation, giving our customers confidence in the legal origin and traceability of the animal they are purchasing.

Unfortunately, there appears to be considerable confusion online surrounding CITES requirements for Hermann’s tortoises in Northern Ireland, with GB rules sometimes being incorrectly presented as though they automatically apply here.

They don’t.

As a professional pet shop, we believe it is the responsibility of anyone importing, advertising or selling protected species to understand the regulations that apply specifically to Northern Ireland and to ensure the correct procedures have been followed.

Before purchasing a Hermann’s tortoise, ask the seller:

✅ Where did the tortoise originate?
✅ Was it legally imported into Northern Ireland?
✅ Does it have the appropriate CITES documentation?
✅ Can the seller demonstrate its legal provenance?

If a seller cannot answer those questions confidently, we would strongly recommend doing your own checks before purchasing.

There is no need for insults, arguments or misinformation — the legislation and paperwork speak for themselves.

🐢 Buy responsibly. Buy legally. Buy from a reputable seller who understands the animals they sell and the legislation surrounding them.

We’ve poured blood, sweat, and tears into this — and it’s finally happening! 💪❤️

Our bearded dragons, snakes, -EVERYTHING is getting brand new, upgraded tanks & premium setups — bigger, better, brighter, and built just for them! 🌿☀️

Not just tanks, but over the last few weeks we have been slowly slowly upgrading from your basic, older fashioned pet shop to a new look, modern cosy shop❤️
This doesn’t happen overnight.
It takes endless planning, hard graft, patience, and so much care to get every detail right.

Slow progress is still progress — and our animals are worth every bit of effort! 🐉💛

There’s still a few setups to come so it’ll take some patience and time but it WILL come!
