🐾 Top Tip Tuesday: A quick loo break makes a BIG difference!

We absolutely love seeing all your pups…
but some days we’re cleaning up 10+ poo bags and dealing with constant puddles before we can even start a groom.

Here’s something that’s really important for owners to know:

When a dog poos or pees in the salon, we need to:
• Stop the groom immediately
• Safely lift another dog off the table
• Clean and fully sanitise the area
• Reset everything before we can continue

This can take up to 5 minutes each time, and when it happens repeatedly, it eats into our already busy schedule.
The more time we spend cleaning up, the longer your dog is here — and it pushes back the appointments after you too.

A quick wee or poo just before coming in helps us keep the salon calm, clean, and running smoothly for everyone.

Even if they “went at home”, the excitement of arriving can easily trigger another.
Two minutes outside makes a massive difference.

Puppy’s first groom? We’d say she absolutely nailed it 💕

This beautiful little Cavapoo girl came in for her very first puppy visit today, and she completely stole our hearts. From curious sniffs to tail wags and plenty of cuddles, she took everything in her stride and was an absolute star.

First puppy visits are all about creating positive experiences, building confidence, and helping little ones feel comfortable in the salon. We keep things calm, gentle, and fun so they can grow into happy, relaxed grooming appointments for years to come.

Our iPET Network Level 3 Award in Canine Emergency First Aid is taking place on Tuesday 6th October and is perfect for pet owners and professionals alike who want to be prepared should a dog need emergency treatment.

You’ll learn how to confidently deal with common canine emergencies, including:

Start the week as we mean to go on at Pawsitively Purrfect… with happy tails, wagging bottoms, and plenty of adorable faces 🐾 07.09.26

Monday was packed with lovely pups enjoying a bit of pampering, cuddles, and their regular groom. From tiny fluffballs to gentle giants, every dog brought their own personality through the salon doors.

One of today’s highlights was a beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog. Did you know Bernese Mountain Dogs were once used in Switzerland to pull carts loaded with milk and cheese from farms to markets? These gentle giants are incredibly strong and were known as the farmers’ helping paws! 🇨🇭🐶

We feel so lucky to spend our days with such wonderful dogs ❤️

What a wonderful week it’s been here at Pawsitively Purrfect! 🐾💕

A huge thank you to everyone who popped into the salon this week and trusted us with your furry family members. We’ve loved every cuddle, tail wag, happy bounce, and pamper session.

We’re now closed for the weekend and will reopen on Monday 7th September.

We hope you and your four-legged friends have a fantastic weekend ahead. Whether you’re heading out for a walk, enjoying some adventures, or simply relaxing together at home, we’d love to hear what you’re up to!

It wasn’t just dogs visiting us on Thursday! 🐰💕

We were delighted to welcome two beautiful rabbits into the salon for a wee nail trim.

Regular nail care is just as important for rabbits as it is for dogs and cats, helping them stay comfortable and move around with ease. These two were absolute stars during their visit and enjoyed plenty of gentle handling and fuss.

🐰 Fun rabbit fact: A rabbit’s teeth never stop growing throughout their entire life! That’s why chewing hay and safe toys is so important to help keep their teeth healthy and worn down naturally.

From first-time visits to familiar faces, Thursday really had a bit of it all! 🐾 03.09.26

We welcomed a gorgeous Show Cocker Spaniel for their first visit to the salon, pampered some lovely Labradors, and had a few handsome Schnauzers in looking sharp as ever.

Every dog that comes through our doors is treated with patience, kindness, and plenty of fuss. Whether it’s their very first groom or they’re seasoned salon visitors, we love getting to know their unique personalities and making their experience a positive one.

How handsome is this gorgeous Show Cocker Spaniel? 😍

Today was his very first groom with us, and he was an absolute superstar from start to finish. Such a good boy, taking everything in his stride and soaking up all the fuss, cuddles, and attention along the way.

His beautiful coat has been carefully tidied and shaped to keep him looking and feeling his best — and just look at that stunning finish! ✨

We love helping young dogs build positive grooming experiences from the very beginning, and this handsome lad made our job easy.
