Massive thanks to our team who have been up hours earlier than usual to get the dogs out early mornings this week. It’s hot, houses are 26-28 degrees on the whole, but the woods in the morning are wonderfully cool and give a little respite from the hot houses. We are offering home visits mid morning to midday for refreshments, company and wee breaks.
Our top tips:
-wet towels stays cool all day, leave one in your dogs bed so they can feel cooler when they lay down
-you can buy portable aircon units, and fans also offer some cooling
-frozen stuffed kongs can be tempting if your dogs appetite is reduced in this heat
-paddling pools can be such a hit! Throw in a toy and they can cool right down and splash about (unless you have a dog like me that avoids all water!)
-stay in the shade or don’t walk at all, do what’s best for your dog, some will love a sunrise stroll, others will be better left at home.
💨 Tomorrow looks breezier so hopefully it’s a little more comfortable than today 🙏🏼
