Vets2You is a dedicated mobile unit run from a van and covers an approximate 15 mile radius of our surgeries in Bournemouth and Poole. It is staffed at all times by a qualified nurse and an experienced, caring veterinary surgeon. The van is fully equipped and combines all the equipment you'd expect to find in a traditional vets surgery with that of an ambulance including transport cages, scanners, diagnostic scopes, weighing scales, blood pressure monitors and critical care facilities. The services offered include general consultations, minor treatment and preventative healthcare like flea and worm treatment, microchipping and vaccinations.

Fabulous advice from our friends at Pawseidon Veterinary Rehabilitation & Hydrotherapy Referrals 🐾

All of us at Vets2You are passionate about keeping our golden oldies both moving well and feeling well for as long as we possibly can 😍

🐾 Myth Busting Sunday!

🚫 MYTH:

β€œMy dog is just slowing down because they’re old, nothing can be done.”

βœ” FACT:

Age isn’t the problem - pain is.

Most β€œslowing down” is caused by arthritis, muscle loss, stiffness, or joint discomfort… all of which are treatable with the right support.

Canine rehabilitation can help senior dogs:

πŸ’™ Move more comfortably
πŸ’™ Reduce joint pain
πŸ’™ Improve balance & strength
πŸ’™ Stay active and independent
πŸ’™ Enjoy a better quality of life

We see senior dogs rediscover their spark every single day. With gentle, targeted exercises, hydrotherapy, and hands-on therapy, older dogs can stay happy and moving well far longer than many owners expect.

Your dog doesn’t have to β€œjust get old.”

They deserve to feel good and we’re here to help make that happen.

πŸ‘‰ Share this post to help another dog parent learn the truth!

🐾 How fabulous is Freddie?!

At 17 years young, Freddie is still full of beans! With slightly high blood pressure and the odd creak here and there, most of us can empathise with his age related issues 🫠

Happily Freddie is doing really well with daily medication and regular health checks - and we’re sure he could teach some of our youngsters a thing or two about living life to the full πŸ₯°

🐾 Koko and Mocha 🐾

We started visiting the lovely Koko earlier this year when his mobility began to deteriorate, and have since seen him monthly for pain management. We're so pleased at how well he is doing now, and its really lovely to be greeted so enthusiastically by both Koko and his companion Mocha when we visit! πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

We'd love to pretend that Koko is looking adoringly at us in these photos, but we're willing to accept that the tennis ball might rank just slightly above us on his list of favourite things! 🀣πŸ₯Ž

Avian Influenza update:

From 00:01 on Thursday 6 November, mandatory captive bird housing measures will be extended to the whole of England.

You will have to house your birds in England if you keep either:
🐧 more than 50 birds of any species – including poultry and other captive birds
🐦 any number of poultry

Poultry are birds that are kept to give away or sell:
πŸ₯šeggs
πŸ₯špoultry products
πŸ₯šlive birds

You do not have to house your birds if you keep less than 50 birds and their eggs or poultry products are for your own use only.

Those of you with birds at home, please do contact us if you have any questions or concerns πŸ“

Over the next few days, as firework season starts with a bang, don’t forget that outdoor pets may need a bit of extra support too.

As prey species, rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals need to be able to tuck themselves away somewhere which feels safe and secure if they’re feeling worried.

The Rabbit Welfare Association has some good tips to help you prepare:

As firework night draws closer, don’t forget that some of our feline friends might not be too keen on everything it entails!

The Cats Protection League have got some fab advice for making sure your cat is as calm and safe as possible:

Fireworks season can be an incredibly frightening time for many cats: the noise and flashes of fireworks can be traumatic. Keep your cat calm and safe during...
