Red Wellies on Tour ☕️🐾
Another beautiful day, another lovely corner of Dorset!
When you spend your days caring for pets across the county, home is wherever the lead takes you (and wherever there’s a quiet spot in the garden for a quick cup of tea).
Today’s spot: stopping for a quick brew in between playtimes, belly rubs, and garden patrols. There’s really nothing better than sunny days, happy animals, and a warm mug in hand.

Pedals, Paws, and an Absolute Flyer: Massive Congratulations to Steve!
Huge congratulations to our client Steve Lloyd-Andrews, who took on the 2026 London to Brighton Cycle Ride!
Not only did Steve smash his initial target to raise a staggering £870 (248% of his goal!) for Mind, but he flew through the 54-mile course to cross the finish line on the Brighton coast in an incredible 3 hours, 39 minutes, and 19 seconds.
With average completion times ranging anywhere from 4 to 6 hours across the course, Steve officially clocked in as a fast, highly experienced rider—tackling every climb and stretch of tarmac with real speed.
At Red Wellies Pet Care, we were delighted to step in and look after Steve’s four-legged family member so he could focus entirely on the road, push his limits, and achieve a fantastic result for a brilliant charity.

Paws tucked over the basket, softly sleeping... wouldn’t dream of causing trouble, right?

Five minutes later... HOW did he get up there?! Surveying his kingdom from the top of the cooker and silently judging the dinner menu.

3. The Dramatic Floor Flop 🫠
All this is exhausting. Time to completely melt into liquid form right next to the oven.

Lurking in the tightest gap possible, plotting his next move...
He certainly keeps everyone on their toes, but that sweet face makes it impossible to stay mad for long! ❤️

We all know it’s been a total scorcher over the past few weeks, with the air temperature hitting over 30°C. Remember, pavements get a lot hotter than the air.
We took this photo in Ferndown, while the air was hot, the pavement temperature was a staggering 50.6°C.
Tarmac and concrete absorb heat rapidly and can easily blister a dog’s sensitive pads.
Let’s keep our pups safe, stick to early morning or late evening walks, and walk on the grass and in the shade wherever possible
