I’ve got to be honest, I’m really glad summer’s over… well, I hope it is!
It’s been the toughest three months I’ve had in nearly 10 years of doing this. Fuel costs rocketing, losing my little dog, constant heatwaves and the annual social media witch hunt for anyone whose dog dared to have a dump after 9am
The combination of extreme heat and rising fuel costs has absolutely battered our industry this summer, and it’s becoming a very real issue for dog walkers moving forward
As an industry, we’re going to have to adapt and find ways to reduce the impact that heatwaves and fuel price hikes have on our businesses, because summers like this simply aren’t sustainable year after year
This isn’t a post asking you to pay more or commit to more. It’s actually asking for something that costs absolutely nothing

It might seem like nothing, but that little bit of support helps small businesses like ours reach more people, find new customers and come out the other side of summers like this one
And after spending three months begging for cooler weather, I think I speak for most dog walkers when I say we’re now looking at autumn and thinking… please don’t p**s down for the next nine months
Apparently we’re very difficult to please…🫤
