A little apology from me ā¤ļø

I just wanted to apologise to everyone for not being very good with my phone lately and for taking so long to reply to messages. I know it’s not acceptable, and I’m genuinely so sorry. ā¤ļø

I’ve had a few family issues going on and haven’t been working as much as usual, and then with the heat and having to close, everything has just felt even more overwhelming!

The kids are back to school tomorrow, and it’s a particularly big day for my son as he’s starting comp, so I’m going to be a little quiet today and tomorrow while I get everyone settled.

From Friday onwards, though, everything will be back up and running properly! šŸ¾ā¤ļø

Please just bear with me while I adjust to quite a lot of changes on my behalf. I don’t do particularly well with change, and I now have to plan my whole days very differently, which I’m still getting used to. But I promise I WILL get everyone sorted and back into a routine.

I completely understand if you’ve had to go elsewhere because I haven’t replied, and all I can say is I’m truly sorry. I really do hope everyone will come back and book their fur babies in with me again soon. 🄰🐶

Thank you all so much for being as amazing as you always are, for your patience, your understanding, and for being there for me. It honestly means more than you know. ā¤ļø

Following the voluntary recall of all Years Fresh Meals, we know your first thought will be for your dog, whether they’re safe, what you should feed them and how you can continue caring for them.

To be clear, this recall is a precaution. Our investigation has identified a potential link between buckwheat, an ingredient used in many dog foods, and reported cases of dry eye. Lab testing will confirm this, but we've taken the decision not to wait.

Dogs' health & wellbeing have always driven us, and that means acting now rather than waiting for absolute certainty.

Please stop feeding any Years Signature Meals immediately, even if your dog seems well. When choosing an alternative, we recommend continuing with complete & balanced fresh food with wholefood ingredients.

We’ve paused all Years subscriptions. Upcoming orders will be cancelled and refunded automatically to your original payment method. If an order is in transit, please refuse this and contact Customer Care to receive your account credit.

Alongside our ongoing investigation, we’re reformulating our meals without buckwheat, with your dog's wellbeing at the heart of every decision, so, when Years returns, you can feel fully confident filling their bowl again.

We're thinking of every dog who’s been affected and every family caring for them through such a worrying and difficult time.

We’re deeply sorry for the worry this has caused. We know how much your dog means to you, and we want to ensure you’ve clear information, guidance and help throughout.

If your dog has experienced dry eye (KCS) while feeding Years, please let us know, even if you've told us before. The more detail you can share, including your dog's symptoms and any veterinary notes or costs, the better our team can understand what happened and respond personally. https://moreyears.typeform.com/to/bC8fm7AC

We're experiencing a high volume of emails and messages and are working our way through them as quickly as we can. Thank you for your patience while we do.

For full details on this recall, including symptoms to watch for, what to do with Years meals, and how to reach our Customer Care team, please visit years.com/pages/care.

Hi everyone,

(BOOKING LINK IN COMMENTS)

A massive apology to you all. šŸ’• With it being the summer holidays, having limited appointments available, the recent heatwave, and my dog becoming very poorly (we very nearly lost him), I’ve been a bit all over the place. I’m doing my best to get everything back on track, and I really appreciate your patience and understanding.

At the moment, I don’t have any appointments available until 22nd August, and these are very limited. If there’s a time slot you need that isn’t showing on the booking system, please send me a message and I’ll do my best to see what I can do.

Once the summer holidays are over, appointments will be back to normal.

I’ve added my booking link below, and if you could book through there, that would be amazing.

If I’ve not got back to you in time and you’ve gone elsewhere I completely understand and can only apologies for all off this

Thank you all so much again for your continued support, patience, and understanding. It really does mean the world to me. 🐾🐾

Hi everyone! Just a quick message to let you know that with the very warm weather this week, the salon is getting even hotter inside than it is outside. If your dog’s appointment can wait until next week when it’s cooler, I’d really appreciate it. Of course, if you’d still like to keep your appointment, that’s absolutely fine—just please be aware that I may not be able to fully dry your dog because of the heat. Thanks so much for your understanding and support!

Hi everyone, I just wanted to ask a huge favour.

Please, if your dog is showing any signs of being unwell or just isn’t quite themselves, could you please rearrange your grooming appointment rather than bringing them to me.

Unfortunately, my own elderly dog is currently very, very poorly after catching something that has clearly been passed on through contact with another dog. I have no idea whose dog it was, and I’m not blaming anyone, but it’s been absolutely heartbreaking to see him so ill

I completely understand that sometimes it’s difficult to know if a dog is coming down with something, but if you have any doubts at all, please just let me know and we’ll rearrange. I never charge cancellation or rearrangement fees for situations like this because I’d much rather keep everyone’s dogs safe than risk illness spreading.
And now I’m having to rearrange appointments and loosing out on earnings to protect everyone’s dogs as I would hate for this to be passed on again.

Thank you so much for understanding and helping to protect not only my own dog but all the dogs that come through my door. ā¤ļø

Firstly, I want to say a huge thank you to the 95% of my customers who are kind, patient and understanding. Most of you have supported me for years, and many of you I now consider friends. I appreciate you more than you’ll ever know.

Unfortunately, this post is for the small minority.

Recently I’ve received messages late at night, in the early hours of the morning, repeated question marks because I haven’t replied quickly enough, and I’ve even been spoken to disrespectfully outside my own home. I’m no longer willing to accept that.

Yes, I can be difficult to get hold of sometimes. I have three children, two of whom are under five, it’s the school holidays, and I also have ADHD, which means keeping on top of my phone can be a real challenge. I receive 10+ messages every day, at all hours, and while I do my very best to keep up, I’m only human. If I don’t reply straight away, it’s never because I’m ignoring anyone, and I always apologise when I’m running behind.

What I can promise is that every single dog that comes through my door is treated as if they’re my own. Their welfare will always come first. I genuinely love every one of my clients’ dogs and always do everything I can to make sure they’re happy, comfortable and cared for.

I work long hours, often every day, to fit appointments around people’s work and family commitments. I miss out on a lot of my own family time to try and accommodate you all , I also loose out on a lot of money due to people not paying on time or not paying at all. I keep my prices as fair as I possibly can, and many of my regular customers know I’ll often go above and beyond, especially for nervous dogs, because their wellbeing means more to me than anything else.

But I’m also a mum with a family of my own, and I deserve to be treated with the same kindness and respect that I show to others.

Going forward, I kindly ask that you remember I am a person behind the business. Please be patient if I don’t reply immediately, and please don’t message late at night expecting an instant response. Respect works both ways, and I won’t tolerate being spoken to rudely or made to feel uncomfortable anymore.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support me, understands my situation, and trusts me with your wonderful dogs. It genuinely means the world to me. ā¤ļø

Morning everyone! ā˜€ļø

Looks like the heat is back again! 🄵 I’ve been struggling with it myself, and so have the dogs. Unfortunately, I don’t have a window in my salon, and even with the fans on, it’s still getting far too hot. I’m now looking into having an air conditioning unit installed because it seems like these 30+ days are becoming much more common!

For now, I may need to rearrange some appointments between today and Tuesday. If your dog isn’t long-coated or isn’t in desperate need of a groom and could wait until next week, please let me know or if they are only coming in for a tidy up or bath then this can wait a few days until it’s cooler. This will help me move appointments around fairly and make sure the dogs that need it most are seen first.

I have plenty of morning and evening appointments available next week. I’ll contact everyone by the end of today to sort everything out.

Thank you all so much for your understanding and support, as always. 🄰🐾

Can everyone that’s booked in today please message as I can’t get into my booking system

Thank you 🄰🄰

🐾 A little reminder to all my lovely customers 🐾

Could I please ask everyone to check their dogs for fleas before bringing them to the salon?

Unfortunately, fleas are really bad at this time of year with the hot weather, but it’s not fair on other customers’ dogs, my own dog (who has a flea allergy), or on me, as it means I have to stop and rearrange appointments while dealing with the problem.

I completely understand that sometimes owners don’t realise their dog has fleas, and these things happen. If you do find your dog has them, please don’t worry I’m more than happy to help you on the best way to get it sorted. Just ask! ā¤ļø

Thank you so much for your understanding and helping to keep the salon a happy, healthy place for everyone. 🐾🐾🐾

Right then… I’m swallowing my pride and asking for a favour! šŸ˜‚I know I can be a bit of a pain sometimes… and let’s be ho...

Right then… I’m swallowing my pride and asking for a favour! šŸ˜‚

I know I can be a bit of a pain sometimes… and let’s be honest, it probably feels like someone in our house is always ill šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¶šŸ¤§.

But one thing that never changes is how much I absolutely adore every single one of your dogs. They aren’t just clients to me they’re my little extended family, and I always do my very best to love, care for, and pamper your babies as if they were my own. ā¤ļøšŸ¾

If you’ve been happy with the service I’ve given you and your furry best friend, I’d be so grateful if you could spare a couple of minutes to leave me a review on Facebook or Google. It really does make a huge difference to my little business and helps other dog parents find us.

Thank you for trusting me with your precious pups it honestly means the world. 🩷

Lots of love,
