⚠️ IMPORTANT – GROOMING APPOINTMENTS ⚠️

Guys, unfortunately we need to address no-shows because it’s honestly becoming ridiculous now.

When an appointment is booked, that time is reserved specifically for your dog. We turn other customers away because that space is taken, so when somebody simply doesn’t turn up, we’re left with an empty slot that could have been offered to somebody else.

What’s making it even more frustrating is that with a lot of our recent no-shows, we’ve actually rung the evening before, they’ve confirmed they ARE coming… and then they’ve still not turned up the following day or answered the phone. 😩

We completely understand that things happen kids get poorly, cars break down, emergencies happen and plans change. We’re human too! All we ask is that you let us know so we have the opportunity to fill the space.

Unfortunately, because of the amount of no-shows we’re now experiencing, we have no choice but to introduce deposits going forward.

🐾 ALL GROOMING APPOINTMENTS – £15 DEPOSIT

Going forward, your £15 deposit MUST be paid at the time of booking to secure your appointment.

If the deposit has not been paid, your appointment is NOT secured and the slot will remain available for somebody else to book.

The £15 deposit will be deducted from the cost of your groom on the day it is not an additional charge.

🎄 DECEMBER / CHRISTMAS APPOINTMENTS – £20 DEPOSIT

Due to December being our busiest period, ALL December appointments will require a £20 deposit to secure the appointment.

Again, this is not an additional charge the full £20 will be deducted from the cost of your groom.

We really didn’t want to have to introduce this, especially when the huge majority of our customers are absolutely brilliant. But we simply cannot continue losing appointments and income because people are booking, confirming they’re coming and then not showing up.

So please remember going forward:

£15 deposit = appointment secured 🐾
£20 deposit = December appointment secured 🎄
No deposit = no secured appointment.

🐾 EXPERIENCED LEVEL 3 DOG GROOMER WANTED 🐾

As The Raw Empawrium continues to grow and I’m putting more of my time into building our new online side, I’m quickly realising I physically cannot be in three places at once 😂

So, temporarily, I’ll be reducing my own days in the groomers and I’m looking for the right person to join our team and take charge of the grooming side of the business.

This isn’t a trainee position, I’m looking for someone who is Level 3 qualified and genuinely experienced, confident working independently and able to produce a consistently high standard of grooming.

You’ll ideally be:

🐾 Level 3 qualified with solid grooming experience
🐾 Confident with a wide range of breeds, coat types and styles
🐾 Confident handling different behaviours and more challenging dogs
🐾 Able to work independently and manage a busy grooming day
🐾 Someone who takes pride in sending every dog home looking amazing
🐾 Friendly and professional with owners, with great customer service
🐾 Most importantly — gentle, patient and kind

Our grooming salon has always been about more than getting a dog in and out. I want every dog treated with patience, love and respect, as though they were your own. ❤️

I need someone I can completely trust to look after this side of the business, maintain the standards we’ve built and keep our lovely customers happy while I concentrate on growing the next chapter of The Raw Empawrium.

🐾 BEHAVIOUR & ABORTED GROOM POLICY 🐾

At The Raw Empawrium Groomers, we are known for working with dogs who may be nervous, reactive, difficult or aggressive during grooming and we are more than happy to continue offering this service. ❤️

However, we MUST be made aware of any known behavioural or aggression issues when the appointment is booked.

Dogs who struggle with grooming require longer appointment slots, additional handling and sometimes more than one member of our team. We schedule these appointments differently so that we have enough time to work patiently and safely with your dog.

If aggression or significant behavioural issues are not disclosed to us beforehand, we may simply not have enough time allocated to safely complete the groom.

We will never rush or force a dog simply because another appointment is due.

If a groom has to be stopped because of undisclosed aggression or behavioural issues, a charge of up to 50% of the booked groom price will still apply to cover the appointment time and work already undertaken.

The same may apply where a groom cannot safely be completed due to severe/pelted matting, welfare concerns or another significant issue that wasn’t disclosed when booking.

Please don’t be embarrassed to tell us your dog can bite, snap, become aggressive or has struggled at previous groomers.

We would MUCH rather know.

It doesn’t mean we won’t groom your dog it means we can book the right amount of time and give them the best possible chance of having a safe, successful groom.

Your pet’s welfare and our team’s safety will always come before finishing a groom. 🐾

Just look at this handsome boy 😍🥹

Miley is a rescue boy and had never been to a groomers before. His human mama has always groomed him herself at home, so coming into the salon was a completely new experience for him 💚

He was a little nervous at first, which is completely understandable, but with a little patience, reassurance and plenty of love… he absolutely SMASHED his first grooming session! 🙌🏻🐾

Such a beautiful boy, and we’re so proud of how well he did for his very first visit 🥹💚
