Little Stream Stables 2026 BBQ. Initially planned for summer time but due to weather had to be rearranged. Managed to have it in the end and it turned out to be a lovely autumn day. The fire pit did a great job at keeping everyone warm. I hope everyone enjoyed it. Fabulous company, food and drink. Thank you all for coming! Looking forward to next year's! x

Normally this time of the year I have 2 paddocks with resting long, at least knee high grass ready for the autumn. I have never seen my fields so bare and dry. This drought has been awful. Such high risk of fires too. I love the sunshine and it's been nice as we have 6 to 8 months of rain but no rain at all for weeks is too much. Luckily we have now had some rain over night and more is in the forecast.
The boys now have a bale in each paddock to supplement the little grass thats left and hopefully growing again soon.

Little Stream Stables has always been proud to put the welfare of the horses first. By aiming for maximum turnout, maximum movement, best care, positive horsemanship, and positive horse ownership and an overall positive approach! This will always continue!
We won't tolerate horses not being well cared for, abused, not treated well, being hit or beaten, or otherwise abused, left in pain or treated poorly. Horses deserve better!

As much as I love these early mornings as the weather is perfect for riding, we are definitely in serious need of rain! On the upside, following my moaning, the council came and resurfaced the lane and cut the hedges all the way to the top farm 😁👍👏 Thank you Carmarthenshire County Council 👌
