It is with a very heavy heart that yesterday we said our last goodbyes to this little old lady.
Unfortunately there is no magic cure for old age and all of its fragilities and illnesses that come with the passing of time. Under the sympathy and advice of our vet we decided that to spare Lucy the trauma of any operation that may or may not have been conclusive or otherwise we would release her with dignity, which is no more than she deserved.
Despite her "funny little ways" we wouldn't change a single thing about her even if we had a second chance.
When the tears have stopped we will remember our days out across Dartmoor, Dartmouth, Tavistock and our little dog friendly holidays in Mullion with fondness.
So sleep tight Lucy we will miss you forever xx.

Thanks for everyone's cooperation yesterday after we cancelled all of our walks at short notice. We both felt that it would be unwise to take our dogs out in view of the expected bad weather and adding to the chaos!!!
