Yet another week in captivity. I have some lovely visits on the horizon to see some of the good boys and girls which I'm looking forward to 💕

No new news hospital wise but Nellie's papa has very kindly agreed to help me with some physio and explained my MRI results with me. Not all doom and gloom I'll likely not need surgery as my back is doing well just need to get my foot/leg back in the game. I'm doing everything my end that I physically can but it is going to be one of those fun things where it'll take as long as it takes unfortunately 😅

If you are looking for a dog walker as I'm not currently able to help please reach out and I'll be more than happy to recommend some wonderful walkers to you.
These are trusted people who I would be more than happy to walk my own dog, have similar/same ethos as me and likely have come across some of your dogs whilst already out with me 🐾

I don't like to let people down but with no definitive recovery date I need to be realistic and if you need help or are stuck I don't want anyone stuck waiting for me 🥹

It's a positive that I can even come back to walking as I was in "will I ever be able to dog walk again" territory. So it may be goodbye for now but it won't be forever and I hope you can come back when I'm back on my feet(which I'm hoping will be sooner rather than later)💕

Hi All!

Just a little update. I don't have one 😅🤦🏻‍♀️

I haven't been messaging everyone because there really is no news unfortunately. Or nothing concrete. I still haven't heard from the clinic(heading into week four of captivity now). I chased last week and have chased again this morning.

I am off the crutches now so you may have seen me hobbling about with Bee here and there to try and keep moving. Whilst I'm not in pain(touches wood) I don't have control over my leg and foot. The sensation isn't there. I'm not able to drive because having loss of feeling in your brake and accelerator foot doesn't sound like something I should be tackling. I can't cover a lot of distance walking because I end up just falling over so it really is all fun and games.

If/when I do hear something tangible I will be in touch but for now it's still very much I'm in recovery, I'm very frustrated, I'm sad and miss everyone.

Thank you to everyone for continually touching base with me and sending me pics of everyone it really is uplifting.

⚠️ CLOSED⚠️

Unfortunately JB will be closed until further notice. Everyone should have received a message from me outlining the closure of JB until further notice.

Refunds will be sorted over the weekend once I've got my diary and work out who needs to have what back. Massive thank you to those who don't want a refund and want me to just get better it's really kind 🥹

So it's good-bye for now and hopefully I'll be back at some point when I have recovered. I'll really miss everyone. Can't write too much as I'll get upset 🤦🏻‍♀️🤞🏻🐾💕

⚠️FRIDAY WALKS CANCELLED⚠️

More of the same I'm afraid, no walks will be able to take place for tomorrow. If you are booked in for walks tomorrow you should have had a text from me.

I'm out of hospital now but didn't get amazing news from this morning's MRI and unfortunately no quick fix for me.
I will be in touch with everyone asap I just need to take the rest of the day to make some sort of plan going forward. Sorry it's been such a turbulent couple of months with the van drama then my poor Opti and now this.
I can't stress how wonderful everyone is being about it all. I love my job and I've always taken great pride in what I've tried to do here at JB and I'm so proud that it translates.

⚠️CLOSED THURSDAY(today)⚠️

Sorry another day of being closed folks. After a wonderful 15 hours in hospital, two wonderful bladder scans and an MRI later I'm heading back into hospital for another MRI as something is compressing on my spine 🤌🏻

The silver lining is I've got some sick looking crutches and a leg that will not stop twitching. Donned in my mother's clothes(which unfortunately are giving Pudsley from the Addams family)I'm ready for another action packed day 😅

Sorry to let everyone down but it's unlikely I'll be back to work the remainder of the week unless your dogs want to play joust with me whilst I cling to any surface like my life depends on it 🥺

Refunds, carry overs just holla, I don't have my diary on me ATM but will get everyone squared asap 👍🏻

I'm currently sat in A&E as I've done something to my back, left and foot. All customers for today have been made aware. I'm really sorry for any inconvenience, I'm not having a very good run of it at the mo 😢

Tuesday Team ⭐

Tommy, Bobby, Sadie, Rusty, Bee, Corbyn, Bishop, Teddy & Bruce 🐾

The blonde folk and Bobby to start the day. Rusty joined us after a helpful swap from his owners so he got to play with some dogs he wouldn't normally cross paths with. He loved running around after Sadie so that's another one under her spell if anyone's keeping track. Tommy loved the long grass and all the scents he could sniff out. All these athletes and some working dogs and it's Bee the pug who showed them what's what with some agility. That's ma girl🤌🏻

The second walkers enjoyed a windy walk in the fields. Teddy rolled in some dust and got nice and mucky. Some excellent recall from Corbyn who is doing so well in groups and finding his feet wonderfully amongst his new friends. Bruce found plenty to sniff out and Bishop enjoyed dragging himself along the prickly grass. To each their own 😅

Indie, Cleo, Henry, Louie, Bruce, Keith, Bee, Monty, Penny, Winston,Teddy & Ted 🐾

Early morning paddock play. Lovely to see Keith have a little game of chase with Louie and Cleo. Indie loved running through the foliage and covering himself in anything in true spaniel form. Henry was full of his usual excited hops and Bruce was his usual demure self 😂🔊

Teddy had fun doing what he does best, rolling. Winston had a nice dip in the water. Penny was a bit sketchy with the trees being chopped down but she was very brave about it. Monty had some different friends to run around with today and Ted found a nice a stick 🪾

Thank you to those who swapped with some lastknite changes today it was much appreciated. The Moorland road closure however was most definitely not 🤦🏻‍♀️

Well I made it to the end of the week! Not the best of finishes but we got there 🙌🏻

Off to the woods to start and we had a nice gentle bimble through trees. Molly had a nice dunk in the water then a nice dry off in the mud so as far as walks go it was likely top tier for her. Alfie had fun darting through the trees as fast as he could and Monty made a questionable choice with a jogger so he was relegated to on lead action but still enjoyed a sniff 🏃🏻

I'd regale you with tales from our last trek of the day but some wally left their phone in the van. Suffice to say some of the crew had clearly been drinking from the same loopy juice and were a bit bonkers. Not usually how we conduct ourselves so apologies to Kath who got the brunt of the hurricane on her otherwise likely very peaceful walk 🤦🏻‍♀️
Teddy did some substantial damage by rolling in all manner of grossness so he had a shampoo back at the van much to his horror but 10/10 for effort my chap!

Not exactly the Carlberg of days to end the week but as we know it's not all sunshine and rainbow's. Thanks for sticking we me this week whilst I've tried to navigate arguably the worst week of my life. I still don't have it in me to respond to anyone as I'm very much riding the "hello darkness my old friend train" but thank you for all being so thoughtful. My house looks like a florist's 💕

Thursday Furries 🐶

Bee, Henry, Tommy, Rosie, Boris, Tommy, Sadie, Milo, Rusty, Ted, Teddy & Bruce 🐾

I thought I'd called it wrong starting so early this morning especially when the rain came. But wasn't proven wrong when it got significantly warmer for the second walk. Thought I was losing my touch 😅

Paddock fun to start the day, Tommy had fun shoving his nose into anything he could find. Foliage became decorative at one point. Rosie joined us after an injury and was happy skipping about after everyone. Sadie found a tiny bit of an old wall and enjoyed teasing Cleo with it 🍂

The last walkers had some fun in the fields. The boys club was full of beans and plenty of rolls were had. The rain must have scared everyone away and we had a lovely peaceful walk..well Bruce aside 😅🙌🏻
