Look who it is! Annie recently visited us again and this time she brought her sister Marnie with her 🥰 These two lovely ladies are incredibly sweet, but they are complete polar opposites when it comes to grooming. Annie absolutely loves her pamper days, whereas Marnie, is sadly a bit of a nervous nelly, and could think of about a thousand other things she'd much rather be doing.
I was warned that Marnie absolutely hates the dryer, so I thought by seeing Annie have a bath and blow-dry first, it would show Marnie that it wasn't so bad. Unfortunately, this trick did not convince her, and she instead found comfort in hiding under the bath 🛁
Because of this, I decided that it would be best to give Marnie her haircut before her bath, that way if I was unable to get her completely dry, at least she would have had a bit of a tidy up, and any tangles and matting would have been removed. Marnie, although nervous, was very good for her haircut and bath. When it came to the dryer, I put a happy hoodie on her to help muffle the noise of the dryer, and stood it across the room so that the air wasn't too direct or intense on her. This trick did help, however Marnie decided standing was not an option during this process, so I got her as dry as possible before we called it a day 🥰
Hopefully I've managed to convince Marnie that both myself and the dryer aren't so bad, and we look forward to seeing her confidence grow to a place where she isn't so scared of the salon. Until then, I'll keep under the bath reserved just for her 🛁🫧🥰
