Estover Dog Groomers My grooming salon has been open since 2013, we now have 3 qualified groomers working in the salon. So embarrassing. All breeds are welcome.

We are just up the road from Wrigley's factory with free parking.We are able to do full grooms, bath and tidy, hand stripping, nails and more. I have always had dogs, mostly lurchers, until I got my first shih tzu I had never been in a dog grooming salon before. I took oscar, shih tzu, in for his first hair cut and was amazed how different he looked. I thought I can do this, after all I'm a trained hairdresser, how wrong was I. He looked awful and I had to confess to the dog groomer that I had tried to give him a hair cut. Not to be defeated I look into doing a dog grooming course. After training, at ABBFABB dog grooming, I qualified with distinctions. Now I have opened a new and exciting open plan salon, with free car parking. Sc******ng, hand stripping, clipping, bath and blow dry, nails and glands. If my opening times are unsuitable please contact me.

Appointment Deposit Notice

Due to the increasing number of missed appointments, along with missed appointment fees not being paid, we have unfortunately been affected financially on a significant level.Since January 2025-31st August 2026 a total amount of £3273.00 and still raising

As a small, self-employed business, we simply cannot continue to absorb these losses. We completely understand that sometimes things happen and appointments need to be cancelled, but missed appointments mean that time has been set aside that could have been offered to another customer.

Therefore, from January 2027, a £30 deposit will be required for every appointment, for each dog.

The £30 deposit will be taken at the time of booking and will be deducted from the total cost of the appointment.

We hope you understand that this decision has not been made lightly, but it is necessary for us to protect our business and continue providing the service we love.

A little reminder regarding appointments

Since the start of the school holidays, we’ve noticed an increase in missed appointments and late cancellations.

If you’re unsure about your appointment or need to rearrange, please contact us as soon as possible. We’ll always do our best to help and find an alternative time for you.

Please be aware that there is a £30 missed appointment fee, as well as a fee for cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice.

As self-employed professionals, when a client doesn’t attend their appointment, we lose that time and income. It means we have come to work and are not paid for that time, and unfortunately we’re unable to fill the appointment at such short notice.

We completely understand that things can happen, especially during the school holidays, and we will always try to be as understanding and flexible as possible. However, we kindly ask that you respect our time in the same way we respect yours.

🌞 Hot Weather Update 🌞

With the upcoming heat, we will once again be monitoring the temperature in the salon on a daily basis and doing everything we can to keep it as cool and comfortable as possible.

Our main concern is the welfare of your dogs, especially when travelling to and from the salon. If we feel that grooming your dog in the heat could put them at risk, we will contact you to rearrange your appointment.

Many dogs are already struggling in these high temperatures, and spending 2–2½ hours being groomed can add extra stress.

We hope you understand that your dog’s health and wellbeing will always come first. If you have any concerns about your upcoming appointment, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Important Notice
Due to the extreme heat and high humidity, we will be closing the salon from midday today and tomorrow for the safety and wellbeing of both our dogs and our staff.
We are doing everything we can to keep the salon as cool as possible, but current conditions make it unsafe to continue operating as normal.
The RSPCA has also advised against walking dogs during this period because of the high humidity and risk of heat-related illness.
We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. The health and safety of the dogs in our care will always be our top priority. Please keep your pets cool, provide plenty of fresh water.

🌞 Extreme Heat Notice 🌞

Due to the extreme temperatures expected over the next few days, we will assess conditions daily to ensure it is safe and comfortable for your dog to be groomed.

For the wellbeing of both our furry clients and our staff, appointments may need to be rearranged at short notice if the heat becomes excessive.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation, and we’ll contact you as soon as possible if any changes are necessary.

Due to a high number of missed appointments, we have unfortunately lost over £500 this year — and that doesn’t include late cancellations.

As a small, self-employed business, missed and last-minute cancellations have a significant impact on our income.

To help us run fairly and efficiently, please note the following:

• A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. This gives us the opportunity to offer the slot to another client.• Missed appointments will incur a £30 fee, which must be paid before booking a new appointment.• Late cancellations (less than 24 hours’ notice) will also incur a £30 fee.

Please also note that we are unable to send appointment reminders, as this would need to be done manually for each client and is extremely time-consuming.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support — it really does mean a lot to a small business like ours.

Easter 🐣 updates🐕
Estover Dog Groomers will be closed from Good Friday to Easter Monday. We will be open as normal on Tuesday.
Unfortunately there will be a small price rise from Tuesday 7th April 26. Thank you for your continued support. Have a lovely Easter from all of us at EDG🐕
