I always say how rewarding this job is, and there really is no better example than this.
I’ve spoken quite a bit recently about the lead work we’ve been doing with Luna. Her owner mentioned how much she pulls and asked if we could help, so we went to work.
It’s taken an immense amount of work behind the scenes to get Luna to this point, but today it all felt so worth it.
I asked Jake to have a go with her, and because Luna now understands how to walk nicely to heel, it was amazing to see the two of them walking along so beautifully together, with just a little bit of coaching from me.
This is the bit I love — taking a dog that is struggling with something, putting in the time and work to help them understand, and then seeing that training transfer to someone else.
It doesn’t happen overnight, but when you see the results, it makes every bit of the hard work worth it.
