Can you help?
We are always so grateful for every time someone helps us with donations. That helping hand, helps many a paw, hoof, foot. With so many animals needing our help both at the sanctuary and in the local community, we couldn't do what we do without you. Thank you!!
We are currently in need of many items, top of the wishlist being blue roll, dried dog food and wood based cat litter. https://amzn.eu/0bOZtOH8
Donations towards our work are also very welcome. At present we are continuing to work in several local areas trapping feral cats. We try very hard to tame the youngest, hoping that with perseverance we can find them matches in loving homes. Others we may neuter and release back to the place they have made home, safe in the knowledge they will remain fed and well cared for. For some, they will spend time with us until another home can be found. We continue to get calls for help regularly, and with your help and support we hope that in time these calls will reduce due to our hard work beyond the sanctuary grounds.

Time on your hands? Fancy a bundle of fiery fun, to so love and comfort to?
Born in the wild, thanks to our fabulous staff, these kittens have come a long way since their arrival and are now ready for new homes.

Please note : Due to still needing continued handling and socialisation, these kittens are looking for a home with children over the age of 14 years. Although one male could live with children from 10 years plus.

Hector is happy his greyhound pal, Riley has found a loving home but is wondering why he still hasn’t been chosen.
Hector, 5, arrived here along with three other ex-racing greyhounds in September.
This sweet boy relied on his more confident greyhound pals for reassurance. But with the last of his best friends leaving the sanctuary last week, Hector’s hoping it won’t be long before he follows in their paw-steps.
Hector is a beautiful blue bindle greyhound who can be shy but, once you’ve gained his trust, will be by your side (or, given the chance, stretched out on your bed!)
He has been enjoying time at home with one of our staff members, who says he’s very gentle and clean in the home. He didn’t know how to get into a car but, once inside, travelled fine, and is learning how to go up and down stairs.
Although he’s unsure of lots of things, Hector is learning that not everything is scary and, given time to settle, we’re confident he’ll make a beautiful companion.

Goodbye, my friend…The Spice Girls have left the building!
Following our post last week, degus Ginger, Posh, Sporty, Scary and Baby have gone to their new home following a six-month search.
What we want, what we really, really want now is for our remaining degus to find their forever homes.
Also named after girl bands, All Saints - Melanie, Nicole, Natalie and Shaznay, and Destiny’s Child - Beyonce and Kelly, are sweet, entertaining and sociable.
They arrived with The Spice Girls from a multi-pet household and could be homed in pairs or groups, and potentially with Dennis the Menace and Sandra, two more degus who arrived from the same property.
Could our degus spice up your life? www.woodsidesanctuary.org.uk/adopt-a-small-pet/

For every animal rescued and rehomed by Woodside, our door will always remain wide open.
Whether it’s training advice, ongoing veterinary care for pre-existing medical conditions or providing a safe space for an animal to return to if an adoption doesn’t work out, we are always here.
Rottweiler Rubble was adopted from Woodside with his best friend, Luna two years ago.
While at the sanctuary, Rubble, then 5, had been on a diet but once settled and enjoying the comforts of his new home, his weight had gradually crept up to 70kgs.
We worked with Rubble's adopters to put a diet and exercise plan in place and regularly brought Rubble back to the sanctuary for monitoring. Two years on, this beautiful boy has now reached his target weight of just over 41kgs.
"It’s a happy ending, he looks fantastic now,” Woodside’s Lindsey Saunders said. “We will go back again in 6 months to see how they’re getting on.”

Brother & sister duo looking for a home together 💞

Monty & Meg are 6 months old and very closely bonded.
Monty is a very friendly and affectionate chap however, Meg is a little more timid so would take time to warm up to new owners. She will be a sweet girl once she knows you.
They are super active and playful!
They could live with a dog, potentially another cat and children over the age of 5 years 🏡
