A late night pupdate from Tuesday & Wednesday! 🐾

I think we all enjoyed some well deserved rain today and I definitely loved the quiet walking spots 😅😅

Solos with Loki plus 2 group walks each day, lots of sniffing, fun & treats all round!

Back to a busy month with everyone back from summer holidays 🫶

A little reminder & a new safety measure 🐾

Today we had a little bit of a scare when Luna decided to take an unplanned excursion on our walk. She was thankfully found by a lovely family and then spotted by my mum who kept her safe and helped reunite her with me. ❤️

It’s reminded me that even with the best precautions, dogs can occasionally surprise us. So, as an extra safety measure, I’m now ordering new tags for all the dogs I walk with my contact number and a little message saying:

“I’m out with my dog walker 🐾”

That way, if one of my walkers ever manages to have a great escape again, whoever finds them knows immediately that they’re not a lost dog — they’re a dog who is out with their walker, and they can contact me directly. 📞

Hopefully we’ll never need them, but I’d much rather have that extra layer of security in place.

And to the lovely family who found our little escape artist today — thank you, thank you, thank you! ❤️

A weekly round up! What a lovely week, a couple welcomed rain showers & sun ☀️

A busy day for all today! ☀️ heatwave today meant an early start with an early finish ☀️

🌙 Eclipse tonight, hope everyone has their glasses or homemade viewing devices ready 🤓

And finally Fireworks Championship tonight in Plymouth! 🎇 While it’s an exciting night for us, it can be a really scary one for our four-legged friends.

Here are a few things you can do to help keep your dogs calm and safe tonight:

🐾 Walk early – Get your dog’s main walk done before the fireworks start (9.30pm). Even normally confident dogs can panic and bolt when they hear a loud bang.

🏠 Keep them indoors – Once the fireworks begin, bring your dog inside and make sure doors, windows and garden gates are secure.

📺 Mask the noise – Put the TV, radio or some familiar background noise on to help muffle the bangs.

🛋️ Create a safe space – Let your dog settle somewhere they feel comfortable. A cosy bed, blankets and their favourite toys can help.

❤️ Stay calm yourself – Your dog will take cues from you. Act normally, stay relaxed and let them come to you for reassurance if they want it.

🚫 Don’t force them – If they want to hide, let them. Don’t drag them out or tell them off for being scared.

🍖 Keep them distracted – A long-lasting chew, lick mat or favourite treat can help keep their mind occupied.

⚠️ And please don’t leave them alone if you can avoid it. For some dogs, fireworks can be genuinely terrifying.

Let’s keep our pups safe, secure and feeling as loved as possible tonight. 💜🐾

Monday & Tuesday delights 😍 great to be back after my amazing hen do last week!!

Heatwave number 452 incoming tomorrow so my hot weather action plan is out! All walks early doors, everyone has been messaged 😊

Luckily I had my aircon redone last week so the van is feeling FRESH & cold 🥶

Pets are more than family. They become part of the very fabric of our lives. 🤍

They’re there for the quiet mornings, the silly moments, the bad days and the best days. They give us so much love & happiness without ever asking for anything in return.

And that’s the cruelest part of loving them — it’s the best when we have them, and the absolute worst when we lose them.

This week, we said goodbye to our beautiful Rufus. He was so much more than a pet; he was family, and losing him has left a huge hole in our home. He was the best big brother to Disco 🖤🐾

As someone who spends my days surrounded by everyone’s amazing dogs & cats, I’m reminded constantly just how incredibly lucky we are to share our lives with these animals. The time we get with them is never long enough, but I’d choose a lifetime of loving them, knowing one day we’ll have to say goodbye, over never having had them at all.

Give your pets an extra cuddle today on behalf of my boy 🐾

A big day for the Kath’s Kanines groups today!!

🎉 Reggie came on his 250th walk, and what fun we have been having!🎉

🥳 An early celebratory walk for Betsy who’s celebrating her birthday this weekend 🥳

🥹 And finally a little goodbye! 🥹

Ralph has officially graduated from his regular walks with Kath’s Kanines because his lovely mum is now working from home and gets to spend her days with him instead 💜

We’re going to miss his waggy tail, muddy paws, and all the fun adventures we’ve had together, but we’re so happy he gets extra time with his favourite human.

Wishing Ralph and his family all the best, and thank you for trusting me with your gorgeous boy. 🐶✨

(For anyone who panicked at the word goodbye — don’t worry, Ralph is very much alive, well, and probably snoozing on the sofa as we speak! 😂)
