Gear Highlight | Gunner Bumpers

We make sure swimming is a regular part of our dogs’ routine because it is a fantastic low-impact form of exercise that helps build fitness and strength while being easy on their joints. Just as importantly, our dogs genuinely love being in the water. It gives them the chance to exercise, have fun, and enjoy something they naturally love, all while supporting their overall wellbeing and keeping them fit for the work they do.

We use Gunner Bumpers and bring them with us everywhere. They are tough, buoyant, and built for training, making them a great addition to our kit.

For us, keeping our working dogs fit and well means making exercise something they enjoy as much as something that benefits them.

Today we had the pleasure of taking part in the Dartmoor Outdoor Festival in Princetown, where we were invited to give a talk about our work in the world of conservation detection dogs, conservation, and ecology. It was a great opportunity to step away from the field and share a little more about what conservation detection dog teams do, how the canine team members are trained, and the important role these teams can play in protecting wildlife and the places we care about.

A huge thank you to the festival team for inviting us to be part of the program and for creating an opportunity to bring people together around the outdoors and conservation. And what a setting for it — Dartmoor in all its glory!
