🚧 A REMINDER FOR TOMORROW 🚧

Following on from our last post, please remember that the practice will be closed tomorrow while our reception area renovation work takes place.

📞 Our phone lines will be for emergencies only.

💊 Unfortunately, the clinic will not be open for medication collections or any other routine enquiries.

If you have a genuine emergency, please call the practice and we will be able to arrange for you to be seen by our out-of-hours service at Woodlands Vets.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and really appreciate your patience and understanding while we give the practice its makeover! 🛠️🎨

Although it may have NEARLY slipped past us, the sentiment is very much felt by team Roborough Vets. We may be biased, but we strongly believe our receptionists are the gold top! Help us celebrate our amazing reception team on national Veterinary Receptionist appreciation day!
Thank you to all of our admin team, both new and old. And all of the wonderful Locum reception help we have had too! We would certainly be lost without you (and absolutely unable to find a pen) x

🔨 We’re having a little makeover! 🎨✨

This Saturday, our reception area will be undergoing some exciting renovations. This means, unfortunately, we will be closed for routine appointments on Saturday.

There may be a little chaos along the way… but we promise it will all be worth it! 😍🏡✨

After a very busy week and weekend, and with thanks to all of the tradespeople who are helping to shape the clinic, the consult rooms are looking much cleaner.
Coco the chihuahua gave the new floors his tail wag of approval, and that’s good enough for us!
Thanks to all of our lovely clients for your understanding over these past few weeks x

We would like to introduce our lovely new Head Nurse Jo ❤️

Jo has been working with animals for over 24 years, starting her career in London at The RSPCA Harmsworth Hospital, she then went into private practice where she was head nurse of three practices, and then finally made the change to work in a small animal practice in rural Devon 9 years ago. She feels very privileged to be able to say she loves her job. Jo has wanted to work with animals since she can remember, and feels so lucky to say she gets to do it every day! Building a trusting relationship with clients and their pets is of utmost importance, she doesn’t have any pets herself, but she gets to look after other peoples as she would her own.
Jo is a clinical supervisor, which means she gets to help train future nurses, and also have a distinction certificate in feline nursing from The International Society Of Feline Medicine. She loves living in Devon, especially so close to Dartmoor where she loves to explore and photograph the ever changing scenery. Jo joined the Roborough Vets team in September 2026, and she is very excited to get to know all of our lovely clients!

Welcome to the team Jo! 🐾

September's Bravery Award goes to.... Harry!

This gorgeous gentleman is Harry. Poor harry got lost on a wild adventure and had a whoopsie involving a car. Harry sustained a painful fracture of his hindlimb and the decision was made to amputate his painful leg to relieve him from pain. At his 3 day post op check, he was already scaling the consult room and coping remarkably well. Cats (especially Harry) really are incredible animals! 💙🐾
