National SQP Week 2026 is here!

SQPs (Suitably Qualified Persons) are highly trained animal medicines advisors who are qualified to prescribe, dispense, and supply certain animal medicines. They play a vital role in promoting the safe and responsible use of medicines, helping to support animal health and welfare.

We are fortunate to have our own Becky at Derwent Vale, and it's wonderful to recognise and celebrate both her expertise and the invaluable contribution that SQPs make within veterinary practice every day.

🥳HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY (it was actually on Monday!) TO US!!!🥳

Where has 5 years gone?!

There have been some new faces along the way, some faces you probably get sick of seeing and more and more grey hairs appear on Helen's head! (hairdresser fees claimed back in expenses)

Once again, a HUGE thank you to all of our clients for your continued support. Without you we simply could not survive.

Today is Emily's last official day with us at Derwent Vale.

She is leaving to go back and work in small animal practice.
She will be doing a few days with us as a locum until we find a new vet.
