“My dog is too old for a dental”

This is something we hear every day 🦷 and is a common misconception.

We completely understand that an anaesthetic can be worrying. BUT did you know that age is NOT a risk factor for anaesthesia?! 💡
Our older pets are often the ones who benefit the most from dental care. We take extra precautions to keep them safe such as IV fluids and pre operative bloods to check their organ function and of course some extra TLC 💚

So, if you have an OAP with smelly breath and diseased teeth - please don’t assume they can’t be helped! We are always happy to chat about how we can help our golden oldies live their best life 🐾

Introducing Ash 💚
We are delighted to welcome Ash to the Green Door Vets team. You will see her on reception alongside Debbie and helping as a veterinary care assistant. Ash has a whippet called Mable who keeps her busy alongside her two small children Angus and Zara. We are so happy to have Ash join us and she is looking forward to getting to know everyone!

💚 ONE YEAR TODAY 💚

What a year it has been…. We have met over 1000 new pets and their people and been welcomed into the community by the lovely people of Froxfield and surrounding villages 🐾 We won “best Hampshire Vet” 🏆 and had a blast working with our amazing team - fuelled by tea, biscuits and a wonderful sense of humour which never fails (even on the hardest of days).
We are so grateful for your support as we head into another year….
We know reels are meant to be short. This one is long because there are too many moments we want to remember 💚

Q: But can you see our big dog?
A: Yes! We have a HUGE walk in kennel big enough for our biggest and bestest boy Tyson 💚 He is >60kg and was very comfortable before and after his surgery and enjoyed the heat lamp too.
We are always very happy to show you around the clinic… just ask! 🐾

All grown up!!
Enzo was one of our very first visitors to Green Door Vets last July…. I am not sure his owners expected him to visit quite so regularly but Enzo had other ideas including eating bees and various naughty things!!!
We are thrilled to see him today for a booster vaccine looking SO handsome in his bowtie 💚
