Hi my name is Katie

I have always been passionate about dogs and grew up with Golden Retrievers. It wasn't until i moved out of London that i got my first dog Eric, followed by Duke and then Boo. It's because of these three that i wanted to ditch my retail job and to do something with dogs. In 2022 i realised i needed help with Boo, so i contacted a dog trainer. Fast forward a few sessions and a spark for dog training was flickering. So i searched around and found a course for me. In 2023 i passed my final assessment to become a Certified Dog Trainer. I continue to study and improve my skills. I am trustworthy, reliable and i will look after your dog as if it was my own.

It feels like summer is trying its best to hang on, even though we’re more than ready to welcome autumn! 🍂🎃

We’ve been making the most of the sunshine, enjoying plenty of fun, fresh air and happy faces along the way. 🐶💛

Here’s to squeezing out the last little bit of summer before those autumn adventures begin! 🍁

This week I’ve had the pleasure of spending some time with little Margot as she starts taking her first steps out into the big world 🐾💕

Those first adventures are so important for puppies — giving them the opportunity to explore different environments, sounds, sights and smells at their own pace helps build confidence and positive experiences.

Margot was an absolute superstar and took everything in her stride! 🌟🐶

I’m looking forward to watching her confidence grow as she discovers more of the world around her. 🥰

With the van back up and running, it meant we were back to full service this week 🚐🐾

And what fun we’ve had! 🐶❤️

It’s been so lovely having everyone back to their usual walks, seeing all the dogs enjoying themselves and getting back into our normal routine.

After a slightly chaotic couple of weeks, it was definitely good to have the Barklife van back where it belongs! 😂🚐🐾

🐾 WHAT A WEEK! 🐾

Last week was a busy one, and I’ve only just got round to sharing what we’ve been up to! 😅

It was the first week of Double Walk Days and Mid Afternoon Walks 🎉🐶 A new chapter for Barklife, and it’s been lovely getting these new services up and running!

Of course, the van decided to throw a spanner in the works and needed a new battery 🤦🏻‍♀️🔋 Thankfully, we managed to keep things moving!

And finally… we saw the return of those good old British wet days! 🌧️☔️ The dogs didn’t seem to mind though, and we’ve embraced the muddy paws and soggy walks!

Thank you to all my lovely clients for your continued support and understanding, especially with the van dramas. 💕

🐾 NEW SERVICES COMING TO BARKLIFE! 🐾

I’m really excited to announce that from Monday 7th September, I’ll be introducing two new services to Barklife Dog Services! 🐶💕

✨ DOUBLE WALK DAYS ✨
For dogs who would benefit from a little extra exercise and enrichment during the day, I’ll now be offering two walks on the same day.

This could be perfect for dogs whose owners are out for longer periods, dogs who simply love their walks, or those who enjoy having an extra adventure in their week!

🐾 MID-AFTERNOON WALKS 🐾
I’ll also be opening up mid-afternoon walk spaces, giving you a little more flexibility when booking your dog’s walks.

Both services will be available from 7th September, and spaces will be limited to ensure I can continue providing the same level of care and attention to every dog. ❤️

If either of these new services sounds like something your dog would enjoy, please get in touch and I’d be happy to chat about availability and whether it would be a good fit for them.

Last time I saw Jack was when he was a young pup, and my hasn't he grown into a handsome chap. He is set to join the crew and will be the first to join the new mid afternoon walking slots.

☀️ We did it… we survived yet another scorcher of a week! 🥵🐾

A huge thank you to everyone for being so understanding and flexible while we navigated the heat. 💕 We’ve moved walks around to earlier starts, shortened some outings and switched to drop-ins where it was simply too hot for a walk.

As always, the dogs’ safety and wellbeing comes first, and I really appreciate everyone being so accommodating with the changes. 🐶❤️

Fingers crossed we can get back to some more normal temperatures and plenty of happy walks next week! 🌳🐾

🌊☀️ Well, that was a lovely break! ☀️🌊

Although I think Boo would have preferred a little less swimming in the sea! 😂🐾

It’s been lovely to have some time off and recharge, but I’m looking forward to getting back to seeing all my lovely four-legged clients next week. 🐶❤️

Next week is looking hot (again!), so walks will be starting earlier to make sure we beat the heat. 🌡️🐾

As always, the dogs’ safety and wellbeing will be the priority, so walks may be a little shorter or slower paced if needed.

Bring on the cooler mornings! 🌳🐕
