A duo walk might be the perfect middle ground.

Just look at Marley and Arlo! 😍 These two cuties are loving having a good run around together, getting stuck into a brain game and simply enjoying each other’s company.

Not every dog wants or needs to be part of a bigger group. Some are much happier with just one carefully matched walking buddy.

Their duo walk can be a slow, sniffy wander, a chance to explore together, some fun brain games or a good play and run around, depending on what suits them that day.

🌈 Sunshine, a rainbow, sandy paws and plenty of happy dogs… not a bad way to spend a Monday.🐾🧡🐾

What a beautiful Monday I’ve had with my furry friends 🐾🧡🐾

I started off with a run around the beach banks with Poppy, Dash and Izzy, taking in the beautiful sunshine and even spotting a rainbow along the way. 🌈☀️

Then I headed out for a lovely sniffy stroll with my perfectly matched small group walk, giving the girls plenty of time to explore, sniff and enjoy being out together.

Next up was our Oscar’s one-to-one solo fun! 🐾 He enjoyed some brain games along the way, adding a little mental engagement to his walk as well as his physical exercise.🧡

Then we headed down to the beach with our fantastic four — Teddy, Nala, Dexter and Ryder. 🌊
They had a brilliant time splashing, swimming and chasing the ball, as well as exploring different surfaces, sniffing all the rocks and having a good dig in the sand. So many different ways to keep those brains and bodies busy!

🧡🐾What if your dog’s walk exercised their brain as much as their body? 🐾🧡

Oscar’s one-hour solo walk is completely personalised to him and two things he LOVES are his ball and treats!⚾️

So I turned them into purposeful games.
Using “sit”, “wait” and “go find”, I hid Oscar’s ball for him to sniff out. This helps him practise impulse control, patience and focus, particularly when he’s feeling jumpy or over-excited.🐾

WmHe also enjoyed a treat scatter game, giving Oscar the chance to use his nose, slow things down and get plenty of mental engagement 🐽

The result? An hour that gives Oscar physical exercise AND gets his nose and brain working, all through activities he genuinely enjoys.🧠🐾

Good morning and happy Sunday from these four beauties! 🐾🧡🐾

I’m starting my Sunday with a bit of reading and revision, getting ready to start my LMR course with the IMDT next month. 📚
I’m always keen to keep learning, building my knowledge and developing my training skills alongside my dog walking.🧡🧠🧡

Once the studying is done, we’ll be heading out for a lovely big Sunday walk! 🐾

POV: your Saturday plans are completely dictated by four dogs… and you wouldn’t have it any other way. 😂🐾🤣

Big field and beach banks this morning, followed by time to settle before breakfast and a lovely chilled-out rest.

This afternoon? Nose and brain time! 👃🧠

I set up little sniffing stations around the garden with hidden treats for them to search out, and these four absolutely loved it.

Exercise ✔️
Mental Engagement ✔️
Rest ✔️
Kisses and cuddles ✔️

All tailored to the individual dog , because that’s what home boarding at Champs Away is about. 🐾🧡🐾

Now for our tea-time walk before my favourite part of thw a cosy evening in wirh lots of cuddles 🐾🧡🐾
