An absolute UNIT of a Cocker Spaniel, built like a brick 💩house with the personality of a drunken uncle at a wedding! 🤣

For his first visit, he was actually a very good boy… when he wasn’t attempting to YEET himself off the grooming table like Tom Daley going for Olympic gold! 🏅💦

No fear, no hesitation, absolutely no regard for his own personal safety OR my blood pressure! 🤦‍♀️🤣

Life is lifeing right now, but for that split second when I met baby Asher, I completely forgot about everything else! 🥹🖤

At just 12 weeks old, we’re starting Asher’s grooming journey nice and early!

A little nail trim, shaved paw pads and plenty of gentle introductions to the sights, sounds and sensations of grooming.

I ran the trimmers over his back, legs and head so he could experience the vibrations without the pressure of a full groom.

The little things we do now can make a HUGE difference when it’s time for those big boy grooms!

🐾 A puppy’s first groom is NEVER about perfection 🐾

Imagine being somewhere unfamiliar, surrounded by strange sounds, noisy equipment and vibrations you’ve never felt before.

You don’t understand why someone is holding your face, lifting your legs or asking you to stand still.

You don’t know what’s expected of you, or why any of it is happening.

My job isn’t to create the perfect haircut. It’s to build confidence, offer reassurance and make sure those tiny paws leave feeling safe.

Because the haircut will grow out, but that first experience can stay with them for a lifetime.
