Meet The Team - Holly's edition.
I am Holly 👋🏼
Owner of Dock Diving UK and my two boys Finan and Junior.
Dock Diving UK came about after taking Finan to a small pool In biggleswade and seeing how much he loved it, I thought hey, maybe there's a sport I could do with him that involves water and that's where I discovered dock diving.
I have always loved animals, persuading my parents to let me own (and breed) a small zoo as a kid; rabbits, hamsters, bearded dragons, chickens, fish and a cat. Not to mention all the "non" pets that ended up in the house - wild birds, frogs, newts, caterpillars, my poor parents...
My goal of owning a dog wasn't realised until I was 16 and mum and I finally wore dad down. We brought Bailey, our first Portuguese Water Dog home.
In the years that followed I completed an equine management diploma and went to work in the world of horses, eventually ending up in insurance. It's a dull story and one that had me questioning my life choices come the end of the pandemic.
In 2022 I took the leap and started Field & Whistle - Daycare & Home Boarding learning on the go all about business and dogs. I still to this day am fascinated by them, I could watch canine behaviour all day and not tire of it. I absolutely love working with puppies/adolescent dogs, they may be at their cheekiest but they're also their most fun & mouldable selves.
After having our little girl in 2024, I felt I needed a change in work, filling the house with dogs and a baby didn't work for us anymore and the idea I had been playing with for a couple of years finally got to see the light & Dock Diving UK opened in the summer of '25.
It fills me with joy that I am now able to help owners enjoy their dogs in the water, be it learning to swim, enjoying clean water on a hot day or competition training.
I love it all.
I have shadowed and mentored under Jen • Fetch Club, have had 1-1 training with Christine Forbush of DockDogs® and I am DBS checked 5* licensed and canine first aid trained.
