New Range Riding School & Rescue Centre

A BIG THANK YOU to all of you who came and helped us to be ready for our Riding School license inspection.
Carrie-ann had you all coordinated so the horses were groomed & pampered , the tack was cleaned & oiled ready to be inspected. The stables, yard & all facilities had an extra good clean & tidy up. Karl had all the maintenance in order for the whole site ,with the help of a couple of the Dad’s for the finishing checks.
Carrie-ann had her record keeping ready from over the year which includes the horses daily health check’s, fortnightly weights & body scores, feed charts, equipment check offs , dentist & farrier records & human & horses first aid kits.
Along with my hubby Graham helping me with all the ever expanding policies & procedures, I completed the horses welfare records, staff CPD & anything else then we were ready!
We were overwhelmed with all the help & support you gave us!
I’m so happy to report we have continued to achieve & be awarded the 5 star rating. Council, DEFRA & veterinary approved!

Just a little availability for tomorrow and Thursdays Pony mornings or Pony Days!! 🐎

TUESDAY, THURSDAY & EVERY SATURDAY:
🐴 Pony mornings-grooming,tacking up,1 hours riding tuition,untack and massage pony and stable management.
9.30 a.m -1.00 p.m £30.
Or
🐴 Own a Pony/horse for the Day-doing all the pony morning activities and then in the afternoon we teach pony care. Talks,demos and practicals on different topics each time e.g plaiting,trimming,first aid etc and learn general care of your pony, stable,feed and tack care,with regular quizzes to note progression!
9.30 a.m - 4.00 p.m all for £35 excellent value!

🐴 WEDNESDAY:
2 hour lesson- grooming,tacking up,1 hours riding tuition,untack and brush off/massage pony.
9.30a.m-11.30a.m £28.

All above lessons are suitable for school age children of all abilities.
( other lessons are available for little ones when availability allows.

Please note our next door neighbours are having some work done and as we share the driveway unfortunately our side is also involved!

Day 2 of our 3rd 3 day Summer Pony School!

Our 3rd 3 day Summer Pony School 2026!
Day 1: Welcome to everyone being new pony owners.
After meeting their pony/horses, introductions & yard rules, they’ve had a great day of learning whilst having fun.
They’ve been doing some grooming, stable/field management & pony care. The riding lessons were split for all abilities including beginners working on their basic aids, rising work & sitting & rising trots. They also worked on their positions throughout with schooling figures. The more advanced riders were learning a dressage test & show jumping. They untacked their ponies/horses and brushed them off.
They had a Show preparation & plaiting demo & lecture. Practical -the owners practiced plaiting. The more advanced learnt about quarter marks and those extra Show prep secrets too.
They thoroughly cleaned their tack ready for tomorrow’s Show day & Gymkhana!
After feeding, ponies were taken to their fields for the evening. The yard was tidied up.
With a word game to finish, from our lovely New Range Work books!
Well done new Pony/horse owners, a good first day!

The itinerary of the day is below along with pictures Carrie-ann has taken.
The owners had Instructors certificates
awarded to them ,along with their 3 day Completion Certificates!
Well done for being great pony/horse owners!

Day 1 : of our 2nd 3 day Summer Pony School 2026!
This must have been the hottest start to Pony School we have ever had!
Luckily having seen the impending heat we had an earlier start & finish. We also changed the day around a bit ,so we could keep everyone & the horses safe.
We certainly used our hot weather protocols very strictly , with some extra water fun sneaked in when we washed down horses. We also had ice poles at the ready for everyone!

Thank you to Carrie-ann & Karl for all your extra effort to enable everyone to cover the days activities! Also thank you to our new lady helper Paula & the extra new helpers who came in today.
