I first fell in love with cocker spaniels as an 8 year old when my friends mum introduced me to dog showing and I got my first dog of my own a couple of years later a beautiful gold girl Annashonn soft centre (Cassie) I was very involved in junior handling and went on to handle other breeds including standard poodles,irish water spaniels and field spaniels. I wasn't as involved with dogs when i go

t married and had my children through lack of time but we've always had at least 1 cocker in the house. I've become much more involved in the dog world again in the last few years as the children have got older and have been breeding the occaisional litter. My dogs are all pets who live in the house and any puppies we have are brought up as part of the family so make fantastic family pets. We show all over the u.k travelling hundreds of miles most weekends

Crufts over for another year and the dogs did us proud they all showed their little socks off, Indi and Kensi unplaced in large classes, Diva was a star and was shortlisted to the final 7 in an absolutely huge class of 30 and Baby Deeks took it all in his stride and got a fantastic 5th out of a really good quality class of 19 yearling dogs being the youngest in there xx

Baby Deeks last puppy class today as he turns one in a few days and he absolutely smashed it 1st puppy, best puppy in breed, and gundog puppy group 2 in a huge group🎉
Can't believe how fast his first year has gone 😢

Well what a year 2025 has been we've sadly had two losses with losing both Millie and Skyla this year which has been incredibly hard, and we very unexpectedly and unplanned gained Deeks in March and Diva in September both have settled in like they've always been here.
We've had a fantastic year showing with all the dogs having gained fantastic results but our absolute 🌟 of the year has been baby Deeks who has had numerous best puppy in breeds and group placings he's also had best baby puppy in show, best minor puppy in show and a 3rd best puppy in show, best special beginners in show and best special beginners in breed and group 4 special beginners.
He gained enough points to be awarded his junior warrant at 10 months old which has now been officially confirmed by the Royal kennel club so he's now crufts qualified for life.

At our last show of the year yesterday Worcester and malvern open show he had another fantastic day
Deeks 1st puppy he then got best of breed and best puppy in breed followed by puppy group 2.
Diva 2nd junior
Indi 2nd post grad
Kensi 3rd open.

I was home in bed poorly today but that didn't stop Maddy Brothwell and team wissant taking Deeks to the london cocker champ show where he won best special beginners in show and his final points for his junior warrant making him
Annilann Da business at wissant JW subject to kennel club approval at just 10 months old which qualifies him for crufts for life 🍾🎉

Fantastic day at mid Herts gundog premier open show today, first time at this show and really enjoyed the day.

Kensi 2nd open
Eric 1st open and a brilliant 3rd in a huge av special beginners stakes classes.
And baby Deeks did it again this little man always give it his all and makes me smile
1st cocker puppy, best puppy in breed, reserve best of breed, best av Spaniel puppy, 5th in a large reserve best of breed stakes and best puppy in show 3 😁

A crazy weekend with a 37 hour round road trip to Belfast championship show and ulster cocker championship show where baby deeks did fantastic entered in 6 classes and came home with five 1sts and a second he was an absolute star.
Think I might need to tidy up his rosette board not bad going for only 10 weeks into his show career 😁

Fantastic weekend for team Wissant and especially baby Deeks (Annilann Da Business At Wissant)
Saturday was Walsall and district open show.
Deeks 1st puppy, best puppy in breed and gundog puppy group 4.
Indi 2nd post grad.
Kensi 3rd open.
Sunday we went to Mansfield open show where little Deeks showed his socks off with 1st puppy, best puppy in breed and topped it off with gundog puppy group one.
Indi 1st post grad.
Eric 3rd open.

Angus and Ducky also had a great weekend with Angus getting a 1st and a 4th
And Ducky two 1st well done Emma Fawcett and Nannie Andie 👏👏
