I'm looking forward to seeing some real animals next week. I have played with a dog who pretended she wasn't playing, stroked a very affectionate cat by the lighthouse and failed to make friends with a cow. Finally, in desperation, I asked for a photo with this chicken. I won't tell you where the wing you can't see was 🫣

Made a kind of friend. She knows she doesn't know me so she'll only drop the stick just to the side and pretend not to look whether I pick it up or not, but we're both having fun 🇫🇷🐶

🦀 Hermit crabs

Fun fact: It’s one of the coolest things about hermit crabs: they can form a little queue to swap shells. 🦀
When a crab finds a better, larger shell, other crabs may gather around it. They line up from largest to smallest, each waiting for the crab immediately ahead to move into its new shell. Once the biggest crab vacates its old shell, the next crab can move in, and the chain continues down the queue.
