🐾❤️ A little trip back to Olney for our handsome boy Simon! ❤️🐾

It may be a bit of a journey for us now, but there are some places—and people—you’re always happy to travel for! 🥰

We’ve been bringing Simon to see the wonderful Wendy since he was just a puppy, so this vet really is somewhere he knows and loves. In fact, Simon gets so excited when he arrives! 😂🐶

One of his absolute favourite things is running straight into Wendy’s room and heading for the window for a good look outside… because over the years he’s spotted cats out there, and he’s never forgotten it! 🐱😂 He still has a good old look, just in case there’s another cat waiting to make his day!

Of course, we’re incredibly lucky to have Wendy not only as Simon’s wonderful vet but also as a dear friend. ❤️ And we absolutely adore her daughter Hazel, who is very much part of our extended family.

Our trip to Olney wouldn’t be complete without collecting Hazel, enjoying a lovely dog walk, having some fish and chips, and a wander around before Simon gets his very important check-up.

Simon also has another funny little habit when he sees Wendy… suddenly he develops a poorly leg! 😂🐾 Of course, he has his check-over, and somehow always seems to come away with a bandage! It’s a bit like visiting the dentist as a child and getting a sticker afterwards—I’m sure Simon thinks it’s his little reward for being such a good boy! 🥰

We feel incredibly lucky to have known Wendy and visited her with Simon since he was a tiny puppy. Seeing how happy and comfortable he is there says everything.

And now the best part… Hazel is coming home with us for a few days! 🥰🐾

There really is nothing better than spending time with these beautiful Vizslas—their characters, their cuddles, their funny little ways and the enormous amount of love they bring into our lives.

Feeling very lucky indeed. ❤️🐾

Here’s to Simon, his favourite vet, Wendy, Hazel, fish and chips, long walks… and hopefully a cat in the window! 😂🐶🐱❤️

🏡🐾 Back home and back to my favourite place! 🐾🏡

After a lovely little break away in beautiful Devon, some fantastic camping time with my Besties, and helping our Hannah with her move, we’re now back home and doing what we love most… enjoying the company of our gorgeous Vizslas! ❤️🐕

As much as I love getting away, there really is nothing quite like coming home to wagging tails, happy faces, muddy paws and a house full of Vizsla love. 🥰

We are incredibly lucky to have the most amazing dogs come through our doors at Uncle Geoffrey’s, and every single one becomes part of our family while they’re here. Watching them settle in, enjoy their holidays, curl up on the sofa, have adventures with Simon and simply make themselves at home is exactly why I love what I do.

We’re a small, family-run, home-from-home boarding business and we intentionally keep our numbers low, so every dog gets plenty of love, attention and one-to-one care. ❤️

🐾 We still have a small amount of availability for November & December 2026, and our 2027 diary is filling nicely.

 🚲🐾 A little Vizsla encounter while on holiday! 🐾🚲

Whilst enjoying our holiday in North Devon, staying with Tracy and Claire, we hired some bikes and came across a couple of lovely ladies out enjoying their day with their beautiful Vizslas.

Well, obviously we had to stop for cuddles! 😂🐶❤️

It was so lovely meeting you all, having a little Vizsla chat and, of course, getting plenty of cuddles. Thank you so much for recommending North Devon Vizsla Whiz for when we return with Simon — we’ll definitely be looking you up!

It’s funny how you can go away on holiday and still somehow find yourself talking about Vizslas! 😂❤️

🐾 OUT OF OFFICE… and apparently Simon is too! 😂💩🌿

I’m officially out of office for the next couple of weeks, taking a little well-earned time to switch off, recharge and enjoy some family time. ❤️

I’ll be taking a proper break from messages and bookings, so please don’t worry if I’m a little slower replying than usual. I’ll be back, refreshed and ready for all my gorgeous four-legged friends very soon! 🐾❤️

Meanwhile, Simon has clearly decided that this is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate that even the most professional of dogs can have a little “technical difficulty” when it comes to doing their business! 😂

Apparently, he was in absolutely no rush to nip his poo off… mainly because he had a rather impressive piece of grass attached to the end of it! 🌿💩🤣

Honestly, life at Uncle Geoffrey’s… never a dull moment!
