๐ฌ๐ง๐พ WHY IS BRITAIN STILL NOT MORE DOG FRIENDLY? ๐พ๐ฌ๐ง
We call ourselves a nation of animal lovers, yet dog owners still struggle to find dog-friendly cafรฉs, pubs, shops, beaches, days out and accommodation.
With over 11 million dogs in the UK, shouldnโt dog-friendly be the norm rather than the exception? ๐ค
Dogs are family for millions of us โ and with responsible ownership, more everyday access could actually help improve behaviour, confidence and socialisation in public spaces.
Of course, it has to be balanced:
โ๏ธ Well-behaved dogs
โ๏ธ On leads & under control
โ๏ธ Responsible owners
โ๏ธ Businesses still able to set boundaries
So instead of asking โIs this place dog friendly?โโฆ maybe we should be asking โIs there a real reason dogs canโt be here?โ ๐ถ
With respect and sensible rules, thereโs room for everyone โ including those who prefer space from dogs.
๐ What do you think?
Should the UK become more dog-friendly?
