✨ Important info for anyone booked in to Chloe’s Canine Grooming ✨

Just a quick reminder that as I run as a separate business to Sandy Paws, sometimes the shop may be closed when you turn up to drop off or collect your dog from their appointment. Please just give me a tap on the window when you arrive, and I’ll be around to let you in!

If the shop is open, please just knock on the internal door (my logo is on the door to the left as you walk into the shop!) for drop off or collection as well, to let me know that you’ve arrived☺️

🐶 Why Puppy Intro Sessions Matter ✂️🛁

A puppy’s first grooming experiences can shape how they feel about grooming for life — which is why I strongly believe in introducing everything slowly, positively, and stress-free 🤍

As soon as pups are fully vaccinated, I offer a FREE puppy intro session (around 15 minutes) where your pup can:
🐾 Visit the salon in a calm, positive way
🐾 Enjoy plenty of treats, fuss, and reassurance
🐾 Get gently introduced to sounds and tools used during grooming
🐾 Build trust and confidence at their own pace

After this, puppy grooming sessions focus on short bath & dry appointments to slowly introduce the grooming process without overwhelming them.

The goal is to have a happy and confident dog, who isn’t fearful of grooming appointments as they grow 🐕✨

Starting young and taking things slowly makes such a huge difference for your puppy’s future grooming experience.

🐾☀️🤍Happy Bank Holiday weekend🤍☀️🐾

A quick note about this glorious weather we’re due to have next week-

All appointments booked in next week will stay as is for now, if the salon gets too hot I will of course rearrange as necessary🤍 I’ve blocked out the afternoons so all appointments are booked in the cooler hours of the day. Dogs always have access to fresh water in the salon and breaks as needed! If you would like to rearrange please let me know in advance where possible🐾

Tips for safety in this heat for your dogs!

• Always provide access to fresh, cool water 💧
• Walk dogs early morning or later in the evening to avoid peak heat ☀️
• Avoid hot pavements — if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for paws 🐾
• Never leave a dog in a parked car, even for a few minutes 🚗
• Provide shaded areas when outside 🌳
• Watch for signs of heatstroke: excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting or collapse ⚠️
• Use cooling mats, damp towels or paddling pools to help keep dogs cool 🧊
• Flat-faced breeds, puppies, elderly and double-coated dogs can overheat faster 🐶
• Don’t overexercise in hot weather — rest breaks are important 💤
• Frozen treats can be a great way to help dogs cool down safely 🍉

🐾Deshed season is well and truly underway!🐾

There are many benefits to regular Deshedding appointments for your short-haired breeds-

• Remove trapped dead coat
• Allows skin to breathe properly by removing compacted undercoat
• Can help regulate body temperature more effectively in warmer weather
• Helps distribute natural oils through the coat for added shine
• Reduce dandruff and dry skin build up
• Helps reduce excessive shedding around the home
