Happy Hooves, a BHS-approved riding centre, provides alternative provision for students who find learning more difficult in mainstream school. We run “Changing Lives Through Horses,” which focuses on developing life skills while also enabling students to receive awards and certification for their progress.
We are now able to provide even more opportunities for students. We offer dog grooming, gardening/horticulture, and small animal care, alongside learning tasks and life skills in an ideal setting.
The allotments are nearly complete, all with the help and hard work of the students we have with us.
Dog grooming has its own allocated rooms,these sessions are delivered by Alison who has over 30 years of grooming experience.
Lots of changes are happening on the yard, and small animal care is another exciting opportunity we can offer. Based at our setting is Mighty Oaks, which provides an alternative setting for learning, covering GCSEs and foundation subjects. This allows our timetable to be shared between the two provisions within this excellent space.
The new building is almost ready and will include eight classrooms.

Pony days 9.30-3pm £55pp
Educational and fun day including a riding lesson ,Mechanical horse session ,a hack out ( short ride ) and Horse and Pony care .
Please bring along a packed lunch and waterproof clothing.

Ride and Groom 45 minutes £28pp
Hands on grooming the horses including painting hoof oil on the horses hooves .Sessions can be booked am or pm at available times .

Family hacks 25 minutes £20 pp (ride out with a member of staff )

All lessons are available by booking via facebook messenger,017684 84545 .
After School groups will be running as normal except bank holiday Monday .

Mr Williams sessions are available by booking in advance.£40 pp

Riding lessons can help you to aim for so many things. It may be for competition, fitness, therapy, socialising, confidence or learning a new skill.
