Following a review of our ongoing viability, Biobest has taken the difficult decision to close with immediate effect.

We will complete all work in progress as of 1 February 2026, but we are no longer able to accept new samples.

New Online Rabies Submission Form – Live Today!

We’ve just launched our brand-new online rabies submission form to make testing faster, easier, and more convenient for vets and customers. Submit samples from any device and reduce the chance of missing or unclear details.

All information goes straight into our LIMS system, and reports now include secure QR codes for easy verification by import authorities. You’ll receive your test report by email as soon as it’s ready, with hard-copy certificates still issued as usual.

Our first rabies tests were successfully set up on Wednesday and the first results have been reported and sent out today!

We are pleased to announce that our rabies laboratory has reopened today and testing has now resumed. We expect the first set of results to be available on Friday, 31st October. We would like to apologise to customers again for any inconvenience caused during this extended shutdown which was required to upgrade vital equipment.

Unfortunately, we've encountered unexpected issues with the new air handling system during final commissioning of our Rabies Testing Lab, delaying reopening.

We're working urgently with engineers to resolve this and will keep you updated, thank you for your patience.
