🍂❄️ Autumn & Winter Grooms ❄️🍂
At this time of year, as the colder weather arrives, we often decide to let our dog’s coat grow by waiting longer between grooms. It makes sense and seems like a good idea but actually it’s the opposite - a longer coat needs more attention not less. Knots and matts form easily in longer layers and can become hidden, causing discomfort and pain for your pup.
Ideally, we recommend bringing your dog in on their regular schedule and just ask to leave more length. This way your dog still gets their full groom of a bath, brush out, face tidy, feet tidy and sanitary trim, allowing the coat to grow clean and healthy.
Seeing your dog on a regular schedule means we can catch those pesky knots or nasty matts whilst they’re still small. A regular grooming schedule keeps your dog’s skin and coat healthy and your dog happy and comfortable.
