Ah yes… the mysterious Dog Poo Fairy strikes again. 🧚♀️💩
Can someone explain the thought process here?
Step 1: Pick up the dog poo. ✔️
Step 2: Carefully place it inside a plastic bag. ✔️
Step 3: Tie said plastic bag to a fence in the middle of the countryside. ✔️
Step 4: …Wait for what exactly? 🤷♂️
Do some people think there’s a secret team of woodland elves roaming around the Scottish Borders collecting their abandoned poo bags? Is there a hidden conveyor belt system we’ve all somehow missed? 🤔
The logic genuinely baffles me.
You’ve already done the hard part by picking it up… why stop there?
Dog poo is unpleasant enough, but wrapping it in non-biodegradable plastic and then hanging it from a fence like some sort of bizarre outdoor Christmas decoration means it can sit there for months (or even years), all because someone couldn’t be bothered carrying it to the nearest bin.
Nobody wants to admire beautiful countryside views accompanied by a dangling bag of dog poo swinging in the breeze. 💩
And before anyone says, “I was going to pick it up on the way back…”
We’ve all heard that one before. Sadly, many of these little ‘gifts’ seem to become permanent residents.
Being a responsible dog owner doesn’t stop once the poo enters the bag. The job isn’t finished until it’s safely in a bin.
The Scottish Borders is a beautiful place. Let’s keep it that way for everyone – walkers, runners, cyclists, wildlife and, of course, our dogs. 🐾
Please… if you bag it, bin it.
Not fence it. Not branch it. Not hide it in the hedge for later.
Bag it. Carry it. Bin it.
HH. Because every dog deserves great walks… and every walker deserves better scenery than a bag of poo tied to a fence. 💩🐾
