Walter Bailey Par Ltd Serving the Agricultural and Building communities of Cornwall, since 1928. Big Enough to Deliver, Sm

Our journey into becoming an agricultural store began back in 1924 with Walter Bailey mixing and selling animal feed. Although he didn’t have a shop, he had a tin bath in his cottage to mix the feed which he later delivered using a wheelbarrow and that was where the story began…

YES, WE HAVE SANDBAGS IN STOCK! 🌧️

With Storms Austen and Boelo heading our way over the next few days, we’ve had several phone calls this morning asking if we have sandbags ready to go.

The short answer is yes! We've been frantically bagging and currently have several full pallets available and ready for collection or delivery.

A BIG SHOUTOUT THIS MORNING! ⚡

We want to send a massive thank you to the team at St Austell Community Fire Station and National Grid for their incredible work today!

Following a fire on a neighbouring electricity pylon this morning, we were left without power - and subsequently lost our internet connection too. But thanks to their super swift response, they had us back up and running in just over 2.5 hours!

PLEASE NOTE: Now that power and internet are fully restored, our phone lines are back up and running as normal.

Makita have finally released the safety boots nobody asked for, but every building site apparently needs. 😂👠

Steel toe caps, heavy-duty soles and enough heel to look down on the site manager when he starts asking why the job isn't finished.

Perfect for the tradesperson who wants to turn up at 7am, lay a few bricks and absolutely strut their way to the tea cabin. 💅

Apparently, they're available in all sizes, but walking across scaffolding boards in these might be a bit of a challenge. 💀

Be honest, which trade would be the first to turn up on site wearing these? 👇😂

🎃🐀 A Spooktacular Achievement! 🐀🎃

There aren’t any pumpkins at Bailey’s this year… this is an old photo! But it seemed rather appropriate for October!

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to Charley, who last week passed her Level 2 Award in Rodent Management! This qualification is an important part of our business, allowing us to legally purchase and use professional-use rodenticides.

And for anyone who’s completed the course themselves, you’ll know it’s a little more involved than you might first think!

Well done, Charley! Rats… watch out! 👀

(Don’t worry - this doesn’t mean we have a rodent problem, but the law is the law! We make sure we have the right qualifications in place to comply with the regulations and keep everything above board).

🔨 Got a job to do? We’ve probably got the tool for it. 👀The real question is… how many tools is too many tools? 🤔😂
