🌟 October Genius Superstars! 🌟

🐾 First up, it’s Bertie! 🐾

Bertie always makes sure we know when he’s arrived at class and that everyone is toeing the line! 😂 Sassy and mischievous sum him up perfectly, and this year he’s absolutely excelled in our Trail Hunt classes. We love having you as part of our Happipup family, Bertie! ❤️

🐾 Next up, it’s Wilma! 🐾

What can we say? Glamorous, cheeky and always first in line for the snuffle mats! 😍 Wilma’s confidence has absolutely soared this year, and if you spot her strutting around the village, you’ll see a girl who knows exactly how to rock her lead-walking skills! 💃🐶

Two very different personalities, both absolute superstars! ⭐

🐾 Week 3 of our Tuesday night puppy class – and these pups are learning SO much! 🐾

We’re not just teaching sits and downs… we’re building a real-life training toolbox full of skills that will help these puppies navigate the world with confidence. ❤️

This week we introduced positive muzzle training – because preparing for situations before you need them is so important. Whether it’s a future ferry trip, a vet visit when your dog is poorly or a situation where they may be frightened or in pain, we want a muzzle to feel like no big deal.

We also worked on something really important – you don't have to say hello to everyone! 🐶
Learning that dogs and humans out and about aren't always there to be greeted helps prevent that expectation from becoming a struggle later on, particularly when we start asking for recall around distractions.

🔔 Then we upped the doorbell challenge with something seriously tempting… treat deliveries! 🍖

And there was a little lesson in life too… you can't always get what you want, when you want it! Learning to wait, cope with frustration and accept that sometimes the answer is “not yet” is a pretty valuable life skill.

And the best bit? Watching these puppies take it all in their stride and seeing their confidence grow week by week. 🥰

This is what puppy training should be about – preparing for real life, not just passing a class.

And SHE’S BACK! 😂🐾💥

Agnes has officially perfected her retrieve and is bringing that magical scent pod back like an absolute PRO! 🎯👃

Her energy is quite simply OFF THE CHARTS — and honestly, can you believe this girl actually SCREECHES when she realises it’s time for another Trail Hunt International session?! 🤣

The excitement. The enthusiasm. The complete lack of chill. 😂

Agnes…… words fail us!!!!! 🤦‍♀️❤️🐾

She’s fast, focused, utterly hilarious and clearly VERY invested in her Trail Hunt career. This girl was born for it — and she knows it! 😍👃🏆

Back in June, we said goodbye to our beautiful Alisha. 💔 She was such a special part of our family, and although Gizmo seemed to cope remarkably well, we knew that something was missing.
So yesterday, after lots of thinking, we made the journey to Many Tears in Wales to meet a very special little girl — 5-year-old Maggie Mae. ❤️🐾
Gizmo had, of course, spruced himself up for the occasion and, as a Many Tears rescue himself, he got plenty of fuss and attention. But what mattered most was meeting Maggie and seeing the two of them together… and they got on famously. 🥰
Maggie is an ex-breeding dog and has never lived in a house or walked on a lead before, so we know there is going to be a lot for her to learn. We’re going to take everything very slowly, give her time to settle and let her discover this new world at her own pace.
Although she seems to have already worked out the important things… she occupied the sofa almost immediately and then joined Gizmo on my bed! 😂❤️
Welcome home, Maggie Mae. We’re so excited to see what the future holds for you.

🐾 Week 2 of Puppy Class! 🐾

Our lovely pups have been working hard this week, and we’ve been focusing on some really useful life skills! 💕

🔔 Settling when the doorbell rings — and, just as importantly, staying calm when the delivery person arrives at the door.

🧘‍♀️ Learning to “take a breath” instead of bouncing around with all that puppy excitement. (Let’s be honest… we could all benefit from that one! 😂)

👋 Calm greetings — teaching our pups that keeping four paws on the floor and saying hello politely is far more rewarding than jumping up!

It’s all about helping our puppies learn how to make good choices, even when exciting things are happening around them. And they’re doing brilliantly! 🐶✨
