Next up was my lovely old girl Lola the Cockapoo, back in for her usual full groom! 🥰❤️

Lola is one of those dogs who just knows the routine. She’s such a happy wee soul and happily lets me get on with everything I need to do. No drama, no nonsense, just “you do your thing James” 😂🐶✂️

After a good bath and fluff dry, she got her usual haircut to get everything neat, manageable and comfortable again. She’s an absolute angel to work with and always looks like such a wee lady when she’s finished. 🥹💕

A spritz of perfume and a gorgeous little bumblebee bandana 🐝 finished off her pamper before she headed home looking fabulous!

Love having you in, Lola. See you next time, lovely old lady! 🩷🐾

First up today was the handsome Milo the Cockapoo! 🥰🐶

Milo’s family are really happy with his length at the moment, so there was no need for a big haircut today. Instead, it was all about getting him fresh, fluffy and shaped back into that lovely Cockapoo look! ✂️❤️

He had a good bath followed by a proper fluff dry to get that gorgeous coat standing up, then I tidied and shaped everything to give him a nice neat finish while keeping the length his family loves. 🛁🫧

And look at that wee face afterwards! 😍 A colourful emoji bandana finished off his visit and he was ready to head home looking very handsome indeed. 😎🐾

🧚‍♀️🐾 A royal pamper for Molly! 🐾🧚‍♀️

Today it was time for my wee pal Molly, the 10-year-old Jack Russell, to come back in for her bath & deshed! 🥰❤️

Molly is actually my neighbour’s dog, and after looking after her while her family were on holiday recently, I decided to bring her into the salon for a proper pamper. She loved it, and her family loved having a super soft Molly who wasn’t leaving quite as much of herself around the house 😂, so she’s now on a regular grooming schedule!

Molly gets some special treatment because I can pick her up in the morning and bring her to work with me, meaning she gets to spend the whole day in the salon. 🥹🐶 She absolutely loves it! She’s such a friendly wee soul and has a great time meeting the other dogs and saying hello to everyone. ❤️

For today’s deshed she had two rounds of deshedding shampoo 🛁🫧, a good blow dry and then plenty of brushing and raking to get all that loose undercoat out. It’s amazing how much hair can come out of one wee Jack Russell! 😂

And because she’s an angel, obviously Molly gets the VIP treatment! 👑 Paw and nose balm, teeth brushed and breath freshened before finishing with Princess perfume and her gorgeous new fairy bandana. 🧚‍♀️💜

She’s such a superstar and I genuinely love having her spend the day with me. See you for your next pamper, Molly! 🥰🐾

🐶 FUN BREED FACT: Jack Russells may be small, but they were originally bred to work alongside foxhounds and were specifically developed to be small enough to follow foxes underground! That little body comes with a LOT of terrier confidence. 😂🐾

💜🐾 Daisy’s pamper day 🐾💜

Last up today was the lovely Daisy! 🥰🐶

Daisy is such a sweet wee girl and was back in for a good freshen up and tidy. She started with a lovely bath using de-knotting shampoo to help get that coat clean, soft and manageable before getting dried and ready for her haircut. 🛁🫧

Once all fluffed up, it was time for a nice short shave down to get her comfortable and easy to maintain again. ✂️❤️ A little spritz of Princess perfume finished everything off, and she was looking absolutely gorgeous by the time Mum arrived to collect her. 🌸👑

Daisy does find grooming a little more difficult than some of my other dogs. She can be unsure around men and, more importantly, she really struggles with being separated from her mum. 🥺❤️ Although we’ve managed her appointments together, I never want grooming to simply be something a dog has to endure. I want the dogs I work with to leave looking AND feeling good.

For that reason, I’ve recommended that Daisy’s family try a home groomer where she can stay in her own environment with Mum nearby, or another grooming setup where Mum can remain with her throughout. Hopefully having her favourite person close will give Daisy the reassurance she needs to make grooming a much happier experience. 🏡🐾

And it isn’t necessarily goodbye forever! If those options don’t work and Daisy’s vet feels she would benefit from some additional help to keep her calm during grooming, my door is always open for us to try again. ❤️

There was definitely one very relieved wee face when Mum appeared today 😂, and seeing Daisy happily reunited with her was a lovely way to finish our day.

I love every dog that comes through my door, and sometimes caring about them means recognising that somebody else may be able to give them an experience that suits their individual needs better. 🥰

Next up today was my handsome wee pal Hugo the Havanese! 🥰🐶

Hugo was a good boy for his groom today, although he did have a few opinions about proceedings. 😂 Nothing wrong with that, we all like to make our feelings known from time to time!

He got scrubbed up in the bath before being dried, brushed and transformed from his fluffy before into the smart wee gentleman you see afterwards. 🛁🫧✂️

Hugo and I might have had the occasional difference of opinion along the way 😂, but we got there together and he finished his appointment looking absolutely cracking. 😍❤️

First up today was beautiful wee Buffy the Cavapoo! 🥰

Buffy is one of those lovely little dogs who just gets on with her groom and makes my morning nice and easy. 😂❤️ She was such a good girl from start to finish and got the full works to have her looking fresh, tidy and gorgeous again. 🛁🫧✂️

Just look at that transformation! 😍 From fluffy little Buffy at the beginning to a smart, neat wee lady ready to head home again.

Sometimes there genuinely isn’t a dramatic grooming story to tell. 😂 Buffy came in, behaved beautifully, got pampered and went home looking fabulous. Exactly how we like it!

🩵🦖 Last but certainly not least today was Boo! 🦖🩵

Boo the Shih Tzu × Poodle had a nice relaxing start to his appointment today, getting to chill out for a wee while before it was his turn for his pamper. 🥰🐾

Once bath time arrived he was more than happy to get stuck in! Boo gets blackening shampoo to really bring out that gorgeous dark coat, followed by his usual all-over short and manageable trim. 🛁🫧✂️

Boo is such an easygoing wee guy while he’s with me. He quietly gets on with his groom, barely making a peep… until Daddy appears. 😂 Suddenly Boo has LOTS to say! The barking starts, the personality comes out and I’m pretty sure he’s demanding everyone acknowledge just how handsome he looks. 🤣❤️

And handsome he certainly was! A spritz of Prince aftershave and a brand new dinosaur bandana finished him off perfectly. 🦖✨ RAWR!

🩷🐾 Wee Lucy was back for her usual tidy up! 🐾🩷

With summer starting to disappear, Lucy’s mum and dad decided it was time to start keeping a little more fluff on her instead of going quite as short. 🍂🐶

She got scrubbed up with blackening shampoo to bring out that gorgeous dark coat before getting all fluffed up and ready for her trim. 🛁🫧 This time we went a couple of lengths longer than her usual groom and I absolutely LOVE how she turned out! 😍✂️

Lucy is such a good wee girl for me and knows exactly what’s expected of her now. She just gets on with it and lets me work my magic. 😂❤️ She left looking beautifully neat and tidy while keeping that extra bit of fluff for the cooler weather coming in.

🐶 FUN BREED FACT: Lhasa Apsos were traditionally kept in Tibetan monasteries and palaces as little indoor watchdogs. 💜🐾 First up today was the gorgeous Romy! 🐾💜

Romy the Sheltie likes to pretend she’s a little shy when she first comes in, but that act doesn’t last very long. 😂 Give her a minute and the real Romy appears, a bouncy little fluffy ball of happiness with the cutest wee bum wiggle as she walks! 🥹❤️

Today she was in for a good bath & deshed, getting that gorgeous coat thoroughly scrubbed before we tackled all the loose fluff. 🛁🫧 And judging by the pile she left behind, there was PLENTY of it! 😂☁️

Mum wanted her taken a little shorter than last time, so once all that loose coat was out it was time for a good tidy and, most importantly, Romy’s wee BBL… Brazilian Bum Lift! 🍑✂️😂 Her back end was neatened right up along with the rest of her outline, leaving her looking much tidier while still keeping that beautiful Sheltie coat.

A few finishing touches, a spritz of perfume and Romy was ready to head home looking absolutely gorgeous! 😍🐶

Such a happy, affectionate wee girl and always a pleasure to have in the salon. See you next time, Romy! 💜🐾

💜🐾 What a way to come back to work! 🐾💜

After a full week off, only my second week off this entire year might I add 😂, I came back today feeling fully refreshed, rejuvenated and ready to get grooming again! ✂️🐶❤️

And who better to welcome me back than three of my regular little friends… Olly, Maddie & Harley the Shichons! 🥰

These three visit me on a regular basis, so I’ve really gotten to know each of their personalities and all their funny little ways. That’s one of my favourite things about having regular dogs. You build a relationship with them, learn exactly what they like and don’t like, and before long they become part of your routine. ❤️🐾

Olly surprised me today by being the superstar of the trio and taking everything in his stride. ⭐😂 Usually Harley is the one showing everybody how it’s done, with Olly somewhere in the middle, but apparently they decided to swap roles today!

Maddie came in nice and relaxed after her usual calming medication. She might be a little sleepy, but she’s never too sleepy to let me know when she’d rather I moved onto something else. 😂💕 That’s Maddie!

And Harley, normally my little star pupil, was feeling slightly more opinionated than usual today. Nothing dramatic, just keeping me on my toes and reminding me that even when you know a dog really well, they can still surprise you! 😂❤️

That’s what I love about these three. They’re all from the same family, all Shichons, yet they have three completely different wee personalities. I see them often and know all their little quirks, but no two visits are exactly the same. 🥰🐶🐶🐶

Their family are also absolutely lovely and have supported my wee business so much, from keeping the trio on their regular schedule to recommending me to others and leaving lovely reviews. It really does mean a lot to me. 🥹❤️

Today everybody got scrubbed up in Baby Powder shampoo 🛁🫧, treated to their usual grooms and finished with Baby Powder cologne, so all three went home looking gorgeous and smelling like little furry babies. 😂👶🐶

After a week away, it was genuinely lovely coming back to three familiar wee faces that I enjoy having in the salon so much.

Thanks for welcoming me back, Olly, Maddie & Harley! See you three in a few weeks! 💜🐾
