💜🐾 Willow’s getting braver and more beautiful! 👻🐶

The gorgeous Willow the Basset Hound was my final visitor at Ruff to Fluff today, and I’m absolutely loving how much her confidence is growing with every appointment! 🥹❤️

Would you believe this lovely girl now hops into the bath HERSELF with just a wee bit of encouragement?! 😂👏

Considering those famously short Basset legs, that’s quite an achievement! 🐾💕

Willow absolutely loves a good spa session, and bath time is a thorough affair!

With all those adorable wrinkles and folds, I take extra care to clean around everything properly, followed by TWO applications of deshedding shampoo to get that gorgeous coat beautifully clean! 🛁🫧

Then it’s onto the grooming table, which Willow also happily climbs onto herself! What a clever girl! 🥹❤️

After a good blow-dry, it was time for some serious deshedding, and WOW, did we get some hair out of this girl! 😂🐕

Of course, we couldn’t forget those magnificent Basset ears! 👂

Let’s just say Willow certainly makes me work for my money when it comes to ear cleaning! 😂 A thorough but gentle clean later, and those lovely long ears were looking much better!

With her coat feeling soft and fresh, Willow got a spritz of Princess perfume and a gorgeous purple Halloween bandana! 👻💜

Just look at that beautiful wee face! 😍

I’m so proud of how comfortable she’s becoming with her grooming routine. Seeing that confidence grow is one of my favourite parts of this job! 🥹💕

🧡🐾 Coco’s looking SPOOKTACULAR! 👻✂️

The gorgeous wee Coco the Shih Apso was back at Ruff to Fluff today for another lovely pampering session! 🥹❤️

This adorable little ball of fluff is always such a pleasure to have in the salon, and today was no exception! 🐶💕

First up was a lovely relaxing bath with lavender-scented shampoo, getting that gorgeous coat squeaky clean and smelling wonderful! 🛁🫧

Coco absolutely LOVES being the centre of attention, so getting him dried is a breeze! 😂❤️

He happily soaks up all the fuss while I get him lovely and fluffy, ready for his haircut!

His parents prefer a shorter, manageable style while keeping a little bit of fluff, especially those gorgeous column legs! ✂️🐾

And doesn’t he suit them?! 😍

After a good tidy and all the finishing touches, Coco was looking like a proper handsome wee gentleman!

A spritz of Prince aftershave and a fabulous orange Halloween bandana finished off his transformation perfectly! 🎃👻

Just look at that wee face! Honestly, how could you not fall in love?! 🥹💕

🐾 GROOMING FACT: Shih Tzu and Lhasa Apso crosses can inherit thick, continuously growing coats that benefit from regular grooming. Keeping the body shorter while maintaining fluffy legs gives a lovely balanced look, although those legs still need regular brushing to prevent tangles! ✂️🐕

🧡🐾 Bailey’s back, and he’s feeling SPOOKTACULAR! 🎃🐾

The gorgeous Bailey the Border Collie was back at Ruff to Fluff this morning for his regular pampering session, and I’m delighted to say this handsome boy was having a brilliant day! 🥹❤️

Now, Bailey hasn’t been the biggest fan of the dryer during his recent appointments, and with fireworks already going off around his neighbourhood, there was a chance he might be feeling even more sensitive to loud noises today. 🎆🐶

But Bailey clearly decided he wasn’t letting a wee bit of noise spoil his spa day! 😂👏

He was absolutely brilliant and had no problems with the dryer whatsoever! What a superstar! 💕

First up was a lovely warm bath, and with Halloween just around the corner, I was practically brewing up a witch’s potion! 🧙‍♀️🫧

A spooky concoction of Fly Away deshedding shampoo, detangling shampoo and calming shampoo to get that gorgeous coat squeaky clean, soft and smelling fantastic! 🛁✨

And then came the deshedding…

OH. MY. GOODNESS. THE HAIR! 😂🐕

Honestly, I think there was enough loose undercoat to build another Bailey! 🤣

After a thorough blow-dry and a good session with the deshedding tools, we managed to remove an incredible amount of loose hair, leaving his beautiful coat feeling lighter, softer and much more comfortable! ❤️

With the wet and muddy weather well and truly upon us, Bailey’s mummy also requested that we take his leg feathering nice and short to make keeping those wee legs clean a whole lot easier! 🐾🌧️

A practical wee adjustment that should make a big difference during those soggy autumn walks!

To finish, Bailey got a lovely spritz of Groom Professional Original aftershave and a gorgeous orange Halloween bandana covered in spooky wee ghosts! 👻🧡

And just look at that handsome face! 😍

I’m especially proud of Bailey today. Seeing him so much more comfortable with the dryer after finding it difficult recently is absolutely lovely! 🥹💕

Off he went looking and smelling fantastic, hopefully making it home before the storm got any worse! 🌧️🐶

Last but certainly not least today was the gorgeous Hugo the Havanese, back at Ruff to Fluff for his regular grooming appointment! 🥰🐶

Now, I think it’s fair to say Hugo wasn’t particularly feeling the whole spa-day experience today! 😂❤️

We all have those days when we’d rather be curled up somewhere cosy than getting our hair done, don’t we, Hugo?! 🛋️🤣

Thankfully, with a little patience and encouragement, we managed to get through his appointment and have him looking handsome as ever! 🥹✂️

After a lovely bath and blow-dry, it was time for his usual haircut, getting that fluffy coat back into a nice, smart and manageable style! 🛁🫧

And just LOOK at the finished result! 😍

That gorgeous little face, those beautiful dark eyes and that magnificent fluffy tail! Hugo really is such a handsome wee gentleman! 💜🐾

He finished off his appointment wearing a spooky Halloween spiderweb bandana, looking very smart indeed! 🕷️🖤

Even when our wee furry friends aren’t quite in the mood, it’s always lovely seeing them leave looking fresh, tidy and ready to get back to their day!

💙🐾 A golden boy with a heart of GOLD! Meet Bilbo! 🐾💙

Next up at Ruff to Fluff today was the absolutely gorgeous Bilbo the Golden Retriever, and OH MY GOODNESS, what a sweetheart this boy is! 🥹❤️🐶

You know that lovely, gentle, affectionate personality Golden Retrievers are famous for? Well, Bilbo has it in bucketloads! 😍

He’s such a beautifully natured boy, and I genuinely love having him in the salon. Just an absolute pleasure from start to finish! 💕

Today Bilbo was treated to a lovely pampering session to get that beautiful golden coat looking and feeling its very best! 🛁🫧

After a good warm bath and thorough blow-dry, it was time to get to work on all that gorgeous fluffy coat!

Golden Retrievers certainly know how to grow some impressive undercoat, so a good grooming session helps remove loose hair and keep everything looking lovely and healthy! 🐕✨

And just LOOK at that handsome face afterwards! 😍

That big happy smile says it all! Bilbo left looking absolutely gorgeous, with his beautiful golden coat all freshened up and a spooky orange Halloween bandana to complete the look! 🎃🧡

He’s honestly one of those dogs that reminds me why I love my job so much. Such a gentle, lovable big sweetheart! 🥹❤️

First through the doors of Ruff to Fluff this morning was the lovely Bailey, a beautiful Cockapoo who was ready for a fresh haircut and a wee pampering session! 🥰🐶

Now, Bailey was feeling a little unsure of things today, bless her! ❤️

She needed some extra patience and reassurance throughout her appointment, but we worked through those wee moments together and got her looking absolutely gorgeous! 🥹✂️

After a lovely bubbly bath and blow-dry, it was time to get that beautiful coat looking smart again! 🛁🫧

A fresh haircut, a tidy around those gorgeous eyes and muzzle, and all the finishing touches later, Bailey was looking like a proper wee princess! 👑💕

And can we PLEASE appreciate that adorable face?! 😍 Those big brown eyes and that gorgeous fluffy muzzle are just irresistible!

Everyone say hello to Jimmy, a gorgeous 13-year-old Cairn Terrier who visited Ruff to Fluff for the very first time today! 🥹🐶

And what a handsome wee gentleman he is! ❤️

Jimmy hadn’t had a haircut for a few months, so he’d grown himself quite the shaggy wee coat and was definitely ready for a freshen-up! 😂✂️

At 13 years young, Jimmy deserves a grooming experience that puts his comfort first, so today was all about getting him cleaned up, comfortable and looking his absolute best again! 🛁❤️

After a lovely bath and blow-dry, it was time to say goodbye to all that extra fluff!

A good short haircut, a tidy around that gorgeous wee face and some finishing touches later, and just LOOK at the transformation! 😍👏

From shaggy senior to distinguished gentleman! 🎩🐶

💜🐾 Oh Bambi, could you BE any cuter?! 🥹🐶

The absolutely adorable Bambi the Cavestie was back at Ruff to Fluff today for a lovely bath and tidy, and just LOOK at this wee sweetheart! 😍❤️

Bambi isn’t even a year old yet, so she’s still very much a baby, and what a gorgeous little girl she’s growing into!

With that beautiful creamy coat, those fluffy wee ears and that sweet little face, she’s practically a walking teddy bear! 🧸💕

Today wasn’t about a big haircut. Bambi was here for a lovely refreshing bath, a thorough blow-dry and a gentle tidy to keep her coat looking neat and manageable while maintaining that adorable fluffy appearance! 🛁🫧✂️

And the finished result? ABSOLUTELY PRECIOUS! 🥹💜

Look who came bouncing back into Ruff to Fluff today! The gorgeous Minnie, otherwise known as Thor’s girlfriend! 😂💕🐶

Now, Minnie might be a tiny wee thing, but don’t let that adorable face fool you. She’s a proper little WHIRLWIND! 🌪️🤣

Full of personality, energy and cheekiness, Minnie certainly knows how to keep me entertained throughout her grooming appointments!

Thankfully, Minnie and I have a lovely wee relationship, and despite her lively personality, she’s such a good girl when it comes to getting pampered! 🥹❤️

Today was all about getting this little princess looking her absolute best again. A lovely bubbly bath, a good blow-dry and a fresh haircut to bring out that gorgeous wee face! 🛁✂️

💜🐾 From muddy monster to handsome Halloween gentleman! 🎃✂️

Look who’s back! The gorgeous Albi the Cockapoo returned to Ruff to Fluff for his second appointment with me, and what a transformation this handsome boy had! 😍🐶

Now, Albi hadn’t visited since the end of June, so his coat had grown quite long. But thanks to his mum and dad keeping up with his brushing at home, there wasn’t a single mat or nasty tug to worry about! 👏❤️

That’s what I LOVE to see! 🥹

However, there was one tiny problem…

HE WAS ABSOLUTELY FILTHY! 🤣💩

Albi had just returned from kennels, and his family had taken him for a good run around a muddy field that morning to burn off some energy before his appointment.

Well, it certainly worked! 😂

I’ve genuinely never seen bath water turn so brown! 🛁🤎 Honestly, I think Albi brought half the countryside into the salon with him!

After a thorough scrub, it was time for a lovely fluff dry to get that gorgeous Cockapoo coat ready for styling. 🫧❤️

Then came the transformation! ✂️

Albi went from a shaggy, muddy adventurer to a beautifully fluffy gentleman with a smart, manageable haircut, lovely neat finishing touches and that adorable wee face! 😍

He was an absolute pleasure throughout his appointment, and just look at that handsome smile afterwards! 🥹💕

To finish, Albi got a spooky Halloween bandana and a spritz of Groom Professional Original aftershave! 👻🎃

And here’s a funny coincidence… Albi celebrates his birthday on HALLOWEEN too! 🎂🎃 What are the chances of having two Halloween birthday boys in the salon?!
