Team Pup Culture is officially away on holibobs! 🎪🎶

We're off to a festival for a few days soaking up some music, and hopefully a bit of sunshine ☀️

As we'll be in a field somewhere with little to no phone signal, messages and enquiries may not be answered straight away. We'll get back to everyone as soon as we're back at work.

Thanks for your patience, and we'll speak to you soon! 🐾🖤

It’s getting hot hot hot! ☀️🐶

And while we’re all enjoying the sun, our dogs can struggle way faster than we realise!

Hot pavements, short noses, thick coats. Heat can turn dangerous in minutes

Watch out for:
Heavy panting
Drooling
Red gums
Wobbliness or collapse

Quick reminders:
If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for paws
Always bring water
Never leave dogs in cars
Walk early or late, skip the midday sun

If something feels off, treat it as an emergency and contact your vet straight away.

If you're feeling uneasy about bringing your pup for a groom due to the heat, please contact me asap! I always keep the salon cool and comfortable, but we can absolutely adjust or reschedule if you’d prefer to wait for cooler weather. Your dog’s safety and comfort always come first!

Stay cool, stay safe, and keep those paws comfy 🧊💕

As a dog groomer, there are just some things I won’t do. Not because I don’t care, but because I do.

I won’t push a dog through grooming if they’re too stressed, scared, or unsafe to handle. I won’t ignore fear, pain, or clear body language just to “get it done.” And I won’t risk a dog’s wellbeing for the sake of a perfect finish.

I won’t promise miracles on heavily matted coats, and I won’t avoid honest conversations with owners about what’s realistic in one session. I also won’t rush nervous dogs through their first experiences - trust takes time.

At the end of the day, grooming should always be kind, safe, and fair to the dog. Everything else comes second.

We're rolling into flea season!

I completely understand that fleas can sometimes appear unexpectedly, and there’s no judgement at all if this happens.

To keep the salon a safe and comfortable space for every dog, I do carry out quick checks before grooming. If fleas are found before the groom begins, we may not be able to proceed with the appointment on that day.

In these cases, a small fee may still apply to cover the reserved appointment time and any preparation already made, as the slot has been set aside specifically for your dog.

I always recommend keeping dogs up to date with a vet-approved flea treatment, especially during peak season, to help avoid any disruption and keep them comfortable.

If you’re ever unsure, just pop me a message. I’m always happy to help or advise before your appointment.

One of the things I hear most is:
“My dog’s a bit nervous, can they still be groomed?”

Absolutely 💕
but the focus is always on helping them feel safe first. Every dog is different, and taking things at their pace can make all the difference to how they feel about grooming long term. Because I work one-to-one in the salon, nervous or wriggly dogs can have a much calmer experience without lots of other dogs, noise, or rushing around.

I’d much rather build trust and create a positive experience than rush for a “perfect” groom. Honest conversations and realistic expectations help set dogs up for success 🐾

Got a question about grooming? Pop it in the comments and I might answer it next!

The first few visits to the groomer aren’t really about the haircut! They’re about helping your puppy get used to everything slowly and positively. Baths, the dryer, being handled, standing on the table, fiddling about with those pesky toes… all the weird little things that can feel scary at first

Starting young helps build confidence and makes future appointments so much easier for them ❤️

If you’ve got a puppy under 6 months, send us a message to ask about our puppy packages ✨

Obviously my new year pledge to myself to be better on the socials fell off the wagon when I took a wee 2 week holiday 😅 Normal service will resume! I'm sure you've missed seeing all the fluffies on your feed 🙄💗

Anyway here's Darcy after her first big girl groom today! Ain't she cute?!

Back to the grind today after 2 weeks off babysitting Nova's lil family in the video!🐾✂️

Fully recharged (kind of 😅) and ready to get back to making your pups look their best again!

Just a heads up - festival season is creeping in, which means I’ll be taking a few long weekends off here and there 🎶 so availability is already starting to get a bit tight.

May & June are filling up FAST, so if your dog is due a groom, please get booked in sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment 🐶💛

Can’t wait to see all your floofs again!!
