πΎπ PATHFINDER DOGS SCOTLAND β A CHARITY THAT DESERVES THE WORLD! ππΎ
Today I want to share something a little different. A charity that genuinely holds a special place in my heart. β€οΈ
Some of you may not know that I had the privilege of working with Pathfinder Dogs for a spell, and what an incredible experience it was!
Based in Wishaw, this wonderful independent Scottish charity raises and trains German Shepherds as pathfinder dogs for blind adults, helping people gain independence, confidence and freedom. πβπ¦Ί
And yes, GERMAN SHEPHERDS! You can imagine how much I loved that part! π
But there's someone else I really want to tell you about...
β€οΈ Meet Anne Royle β the incredible woman behind Pathfinder Dogs.
Anne is completely blind herself, and I can honestly say she's an absolute legend!
This woman doesn't seem to have the words "I can't" in her vocabulary. From running a charity to getting involved in making fence posts from recycled plastic, she is living proof that blindness doesn't mean a lack of ability, ambition or determination.
Having worked alongside her, I have nothing but admiration for her attitude, independence and sheer determination. She's one of those people you meet in life who really leaves an impression.
And the work this charity does is phenomenal.
πΎ It costs approximately Β£36,000 to raise and train just ONE Pathfinder dog from birth to qualification, and the charity continues supporting its dogs throughout their working lives and retirement.
Imagine the difference that dog makes to someone's life. The freedom to go places, the confidence to navigate the world and the companionship of a wonderful German Shepherd by their side.
SO HOW CAN YOU HELP? π
πβπ¦Ί Sponsor a dog β Help support the journey from playful puppy to life-changing guide dog.
π‘ Become a volunteer puppy raiser β Help give a future Pathfinder Dog the best possible start in life. Training and support are provided, and the charity covers the puppy's costs.
π· Make a donation β No amount is too small. Every penny helps towards food, veterinary care, training and equipment.
ποΈ Shop and support β Purchase something from their online charity shop or raise money through participating online retailers.
π Fundraise β Organise a sponsored walk, coffee morning or fundraiser. Businesses can get involved too!
π± SHARE, SHARE, SHARE! β Even if you can't donate, giving their page a follow and sharing their story could make a massive difference.

I know there are so many charities asking for support, but having personally spent time with this one, I can tell you that the passion and dedication behind it are something special.
Please give them a little love, a follow or even just a share.
Because these aren't just dogs. They're independence, freedom, companionship and a whole new world for someone who needs them. πΎπ
