The first weekend of September is here, and for many families that means the summer holidays are officially coming to an end and the kids are heading back to school! 🎒📚

The uniforms are being found, school bags are being packed and routines are starting again… but there’s one member of the family who might not be quite so impressed! 😂🐕

Luckily, at Dandy Dogue Services, we think September is a wonderful time for dogs. Cooler days, lovely walks, woodland adventures and plenty of time for fuss and companionship. 🐾🌳❤️

And after a lovely summer, we’re looking forward to one of our favourite times of year at Dandy Dogue Services.

🌳 Woodland walks
🍁 Crunchy leaves and cooler days
🐶 Plenty of sniffing, exploring and new adventures
❤️ And, of course, lots of happy, tired dogs!

There’s something special about watching the dogs enjoy themselves in the woods as the seasons start to change.

September and October are already looking busy, but we still have some availability for home boarding.

If you’re planning a break later this year, don’t leave it too late — a trial stay is required before boarding bookings are confirmed.

After a busy summer, we’re enjoying a slightly slower start to the day — although with dogs around, there’s never really such a thing as a quiet day! 🐶❤️

Whether you’re enjoying a walk, relaxing at home or making the most of the sunshine, we hope you have a fantastic Bank Holiday.

As another weekend comes to a close, it’s worth thinking about where your dog is happiest and safest when you’re away. ❤️🐶

There’s a real difference between having someone dog sit in your own home and using a licensed home boarding service.

🏠 Dog sitting in your own home can be convenient, but the person caring for your dog may not be operating under the same licensing requirements. You also need to consider their experience, insurance, DBS checks, emergency arrangements and what happens if they can no longer provide the care.

🐾 Licensed home boarding provides an additional level of reassurance. At Dandy Dogue Services:

✔️ Our home is inspected and licensed by Torbay Council
✔️ We are insured and DBS checked
✔️ We follow specific welfare, safety and hygiene requirements
✔️ Dogs stay in a genuine home-from-home environment
✔️ We have clear requirements for vaccinations, health and suitability
✔️ Every dog has a trial stay before boarding
✔️ We are licensed for up to 6 dogs, allowing us to provide personal attention

Most importantly, we want your dog to feel like they are having their own little holiday, rather than simply being somewhere to sleep while you’re away. 🐕❤️

Another fantastic week at Dandy Dogue Services, filled with happy dogs, sunshine, wagging tails and lots of fun! ❤️🐶

A huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to leave us such lovely comments and kind words recently. They really do mean a lot to us and it’s wonderful to know how much you appreciate the care we give your dogs. 🥰

Although we still have a limited number of spaces available during the summer, we’re also looking ahead to late September and October. 🍂🐕 If you’re thinking about getting away and need somewhere your dog will feel truly at home, now is a good time to get your dates booked.

Remember, all new dogs need a successful trial stay before holiday boarding is confirmed, so please don’t leave it too late!
