About Us

First opened in the late 1950’s by the late Kenneth Colman and his son Barry, the Centre has long been associated with prestigious show jumping events such as the Dunhill International. Today, the Centre and its livery yard are run by his granddaughter, Laura. While keen to preserve the Centre’s unique character, she is continuing to develop its potential:
A spacious, well-equipped clubhouse for functions and equestrian events looks out over the all weather Andrews Bowen 60x80m and 80x100m grass arenas. Running British Showjumping, British Dressage, NSEA, Cricklands & Trailblazer qualifying events!

We love hearing the journeys that our lovely competitors are on and here is one that is close to home.

Over the years Laura has been the mastermind behind all the amazing events and experiences that take place at cherwell.

What you probably didn't know is that she is doing the marathon next year to raise money for Macmillan Cancer.

Now Laura is busy at the best of times, however seeing her get up at ungodly hours to get her training in around Oxford is admirable and for a truly worthwhile cause.

To read more of her story and what motivates her, follow the link -

Donate, encourage, even heckle if you see her running - together we can all support Laura to support families that need Macmillan ❤️
