We're looking forward to spending the afternoon at the Appleton Dog Show, and we'd love to see lots of familiar (and new!) furry faces there. 💚

Whether you're entering your dog in one of the fun classes, cheering from the sidelines, or simply enjoying a great local event, be sure to pop over and say hello to the Tribe Mobile Vets team. We'd love to meet you, answer any pet health questions, and, of course, give your four-legged friends plenty of fuss!

It's always fantastic to support local community events, and we can't wait to be part of what promises to be a fun-filled afternoon for dogs and their humans alike.

🏖️ Bank Holiday Weekend Reminder 🐾

Just a quick reminder that Tribe Mobile Vets will be closed over the Bank Holiday weekend.

We'll be back to our normal opening hours from Tuesday 1st September, ready to care for all your wonderful pets once again. 💚

🐾 Meet a Tribe Patient 🐾

Say hello to Sid! 💚

Sid is a 5-year-old Sprocker Spaniel who's absolutely bursting with energy and enthusiasm for life!

We recently visited Sid at home for his annual vaccinations, all ready for an exciting upcoming stay in kennels. Being up to date with vaccinations is an important part of preparing for boarding, helping to keep your dog - and all their holiday friends- safe and healthy.

When he's not charming everyone he meets, Sid can usually be found doing his two favourite things: chasing tennis balls and splashing in the water. Better still? Combining the two! 🎾💦

Just look at that smile... isn't he gorgeous? 😍

We hope you have a fantastic holiday, Sid - we're sure you'll have a ball! 🐶

🐾 Meet the Tribe Pets! 🐾

First up is Red – the eldest member of our Tribe family. ❤️

Red is a 7-year-old fox red Labrador, and she's the Mary Poppins of the dog world... practically perfect in every way! 🥹

A qualified therapy dog, Red loves nothing more than curling up quietly by your side for a cuddle after a hard day's work playing fetch. She's calm, gentle and has an uncanny knack for knowing exactly when someone needs a little extra comfort.

Being a retriever through and through, Red has also been taught to search for hidden items. She might even help you find your keys if you lose them on a dog walk... although we wouldn't recommend putting that to the test without a spare set! 🔑😂

She brings so much joy to our family, and we know many of you have already had the pleasure of meeting her on our Walk n Talk socials.

Sunday – Happy Dogs Don't Always Need Long Walks ❤️

When temperatures are high, skipping a long walk isn't being lazy—it's often the safest choice.

A combination of:
🐾 Sniffing games
🧠 Puzzle toys
🎓 Short training sessions
🧊 Frozen treats
💦 Water play
..can leave your dog just as content while avoiding the risks of overheating.

Remember, a tired dog isn't just a well-walked dog—it's one whose mind has been exercised too.

Saturday – Weekend Enrichment Challenge! 📦

Before you recycle that cardboard box...

Turn it into a treasure hunt!

Hide treats inside with scrunched-up paper or cardboard tubes and let your dog sniff, search and investigate.

It's simple, inexpensive, and dogs absolutely love it.

(Just supervise if your dog enjoys eating the cardboard as well as shredding it! 😉)

Friday – Teach an Old Dog New Tricks! 🎓🐾

Dogs love learning—whatever their age.

Why not spend 10 minutes teaching:
⭐ High five
⭐ Spin
⭐ Go to bed
⭐ Touch
⭐ Put your toys away

Training builds confidence, strengthens your bond, and gives your dog's brain a fantastic workout.

Thursday – Find It! 🐶

One of the easiest enrichment games costs absolutely nothing.

Hide a few treats around one room and ask your dog to "Find it!"

Start easy, then gradually make the hiding places trickier as they become expert detectives.

It's amazing how tired they are after just 10 minutes!

Wednesday – Frozen Fun! 🧊🍉

Need to keep your dog cool and entertained?

Try freezing:
🧊 Chicken broth ice cubes (no onions or garlic!)
🍉 Seedless watermelon
🫐 Blueberries
🥕 Carrot sticks
🦴 A stuffed Kong filled with wet food or plain dog-safe yoghurt

Cooling treats keep dogs occupied while helping them stay comfortable on warm days.

Just remember—treats should always be given in moderation!
