We are dedicated to gentle, compassionate care for our feline patients. We have built a team of dedicated feline veterinary surgeons and nurses who work together to provide the highest quality surgical and medical care for cats. The Oxford Cat Clinic was established in 2006 by Caroline Blundell, and Martha Cannon, two veterinary surgeons with a passion for cats. Their aim is to allow cats and thei

r owners to know that they are at the heart of their medical practice. Caroline and Martha have a life-long love of cats and have spent a number of years specialising in their treatment and care. Their professional relationship began when working together at the "feline centre" in the University of Bristol department of veterinary medicine. Both vets have extra qualifications in small animal medicine, and Martha is an accredited RCVS specialist in feline medicine. Both vets are regularly asked to write about or deliver talks on the subject of cats. In addition to the two Directors, The Oxford Cat Clinic has team of friendly and knowledgeable veterinary professionals who are on site to help answer owners' queries.

Our very own Martha Cannon joined Lily Mitchell to share how cats keep themselves cool in the heat – and the one risk many owners don't know about. 🐾

"They might know they need to get out of the heat, but they don't know that they need the water." Cats have a weak sense of thirst, so dehydration can be a bigger danger than heatstroke. Martha's advice – extra water bowls inside and out, refreshed often, with ice cubes to keep them tempting.

Martha is an accredited Specialist in Feline Medicine and a Fellow of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, so this is summer advice you can trust.

We had some very special visitors at Botley recently – these gorgeous Oxford & District Cats Protection kittens came in to see us for their first vaccinations. 🐱

They were all absolute stars for the vet and are now one step closer to being ready for their new homes.

Our weekend hours remain the same – Saturday 9am–1:30pm & Sunday 9am–12pm.

LOST CAT!

Please keep an eye around the Marston area for Minou the beautiful boy below. He managed to escape his owner as they were leaving the vet clinic and ran towards the houses on the corner between Copse Lane and Headley Way where he jumped into the gardens. If you own one of the houses near there please check your garden. He is a very nervous character and may run if you approach him. If you see him or have any update please let us know on 01865 950 700 or WhatsApp on 07897 033 179. If you are able to get him into a carrier then bring him in we can check the microchip and return him to his very worried owner.
