I implore you all to take on this challenge.
On every walk, stop for 3 to 5 minutes on a bench somewhere and watch the world go by.
Doing nothing, teaching your dogs to stop and do nothing, no commands necessary, unless a person or dog approaches then you teach to ignore.
Me and Clancy done this outside of Sainsbury’s for 10 minutes, no one approached (I would have advocated for her if they did) but lots of people passed us by.
She was interested but just took it all in calmly.

Is your dog struggling to pay attention to you when there are distractions, their recall and engagement is fantastic when nothing else is going on but as soon as a distraction rears its head your dog goes deaf.
Do you not feel more important to your dog than other dogs?
Then it might be time to reach out and join one of my group classes.

Working around distraction (two dogs behind Moose here), recall and engagement with myself whilst distractions are close by.
This is perfect use of a longline, to work on recall, to give your dog the feeling of freedom without the chance to make mistakes.
I absolutely love longlines, and I think they are an integral part of training off leash reliability.
