Thanks to the Oxfordshire Community Foundation Thriving in Nature Fund we started the Young City Farmers Club in the early summer and are running it again this term.

The young farmers are aged between 10-14 years old have been learning to look after the animals as well as a variety of other skills.

"In the summer we harvested potatoes, milked goats, picked from our herb beds and made Paneer cheese and potato salad. We had a visit from a vet who talked to the children about careers in animal care and we heard lots of great vet stories.

This term the group have learned about preserving our food, trying their hand at making ketchup, as well as spending time with the animals!"
