Do any of these surprise you? Are there any that you agree with?

In case you weren’t sure where I stand on the use of gen A! Let me make myself clear.

I am the brains behind Holistic Hounds Oxford and always will be.

Everything you see by me: posts, captions, free guides, emails, training reports. I create every single one of them.

Sure it means things might move a little slower, but I’ll take that over compromising my ethics, being part of its impacts on our world, or degrading my own skills.

So if you’re after a real person to help you through your training and behaviour challenges, you’re in the right place!

The thing I never skip in any client’s behaviour plan.

If you’re struggling with your dog’s behaviour, maybe they aren’t reliable off lead, perhaps destructive in the home, or displaying barking and lunging behaviours towards things on walks - PLAY is even more important.

It’s going to make our dog feel good, us feel good, and have a positive impact on their behaviour. Win, win, win! đŸ™ŒđŸŒ

Comment the word PLAY below for a free guide, and a fun summer of play with your dog!

If you want to be able to understand your dog more, listen up!

You had a very busy day, went somewhere new, did exciting things, met new people and maybe some dogs. Perhaps your dog had a great time, or possibly it was a bit tricky for them.

And then the next day they’re unsettled, their ears seem switched off on your walk, or you might be seeing more barky and lunging behaviours. What has happened!

A dog’s brain gets tired like ours, their ability to tolerate situations and control impulses reduces.

With that pattern, if you’ve had a day that has been full of challenging things (whether they went well or not) then following up with a gentle decompression day is so needed.

Adult dogs need between 14-16 hours of sleep (with younger dogs and puppies needing even more!), this sleep helps them to physically recover, process experiences, and keep the brain healthy.

Share this with someone whose dog is always on the go!

Holly’s been obsessed with the Aero tug since it arrived! 😁 She’s not a huge tugger, but this has been a game changer.
