A day in the life of a home boarder 🐾
The alarm goes off… although who needs an alarm when you have a house full of furry guests ready for breakfast & a four year old son! 😂
First up: toilet trips (p**p picking 💩), breakfast and medication if needed—closely followed by the very serious business of deciding where today’s adventure will take us & most days if you know me…. it’s a last minute decision 🌲🥾
Then it’s harnesses & leads on, dogs loaded into the van and off we go for plenty of sniffing, exploring, paddling and, inevitably, getting absolutely filthy, including me! 🐶💦
Back home, it’s paws cleaned (sometimes dog tolerate this & sometimes I’m lucky to come away with my hands still intact 🤣), water bowls topped up and time for a well-earned snooze… for the dogs, obviously. I’ll be cleaning, washing bedding, preparing enrichment activities, replying to messages and attempting to drink the same cup of coffee I made three hours ago! ☕️😂
The afternoon brings garden play, cuddles, treats, enrichment and another walk—followed by dinner and the usual negotiations over who gets the best spot on the sofa, which is usually with me on the smaller sofa & every dog no matter their size, decides they are my lapdog 🛋️🐾
Finally, it’s bedtime, when everyone settles down tired, happy and content… ready to do it all again tomorrow! ❤️
It’s busy, muddy, noisy and occasionally chaotic—but I wouldn’t have it any other way! 🥰🐕
