Just wanted to say thank you for everyone's understanding yesterday when I cancelled last minute. My son had a crash Tuesday evening when someone decided to undertake him on a single carriage road. He was hit on the side of the back bumper, the car spun and he was being pushed down the road sideways! The cars a write off with structural damage. At the time full of adrenaline he felt fine, but Wednesday morning he woke up in pain and needed to be looked at. He's been diagnosed with whiplash and thankfully nothing more serious. The car can be replaced, but my son can't!

Evening folks hope everyone is managing to keep yourselves and the hairy ones cool!
The new grooming room is staying pretty cool, but the dogs are being bathed in tepid water and dried with no heat to help keep the temp down and the dogs comfortable.
So far I think the dogs have enjoyed the new atmosphere and the chance to chill out with the aircon after their pamper

Happy independence day to my American friends and to me!!

Well that's it folks, the salon is empty and the keys handed over.

Thank you to each and everyone of you that helped make this possible. I reluctantly asked for help and you came to the rescue. I'm honestly still in shock at the amount of support you gave me and I'm truly thankful.

It's time to start the new and final book in what will be my 27th year grooming life story. Still a lot of hard work to do, but it's all going to be worth it.

Wow! Can't believe this is my last week at the salon 😥 and a bit of a spooky coincidence it's nearly two years since the refurb!
Thank you to everyone that's supported me and given me some lovely memories, but it's time to move on to pastures new and I have to admit I'm a little bit excited!!
Believe me it came very close to my doors closing for good thanks to covid and the lack of government help, but the support you've given me has been amazing and I can't express how greatful I am and how humble it makes me feel.
So Thursday is my last day grooming, Sunday the keys are handed over then I have a week to make sure everything is ready to open the all new Grooming by Kelli on Monday 12th July and the start of a brand new chapter

Even folks,
A bit of a serious post as I need your help.
As some of you will know I'm leaving the salon due to the building being sold and I have been given council permission to work from my garage at home.
This is where the problems have started!
So far the roof has been highered to take the hight of my grooming table and framed inside ready for the plaster board and electrics, but so far this has cost roughly£2000 and taken everything I had. The government retracted all grant help for groomers during the last lockdown so as you can imagine things are very very tight!
One of my customers today suggested I ask everyone who can afford it if they could pay a groom in front to help towards costs and get things ready in time. I'm not asking for donations and everyone that pays upfront will get their grooms in return or if anyone could donate a couple of hours over the weekends to help landscape the garden round the garage to make it a clean area for the dogs that would be very much appreciated as I'm struggling on my own.
A big thank you to Sylvia Rudley who not only paid for today's groom, but also the next two plus tips to help me out!!

Sorry, but unfortunately I have to cancel today. I had my second covid vaccination Saturday morning and since Saturday evening I've had a headache that won't shift, dizzy spells and blurred vision and is really dragging me. Spoken to the doctors this morning and I'm now at hospital waiting for a blood test and possible head scan. Scared is an understatement! I'll be in touch to rearrange as soon as I can

Hi folks, long time no post (so to speak).
After weeks of not being able to post or retrieve messages on my page I think I've cracked it or Facebook has decided to behave itself!!

Firstly...
Thank you to each and everyone of you that have supported me over this horrible pandemic and for understanding that I had to abide by the rules and close for the better of everyone. Yes its been tough and believe me I came very close to closing for good! Who would of thought it would go on for over a year!!!

Secondly...
Apologies to everyone that has messaged and not had a reply. Hopefully this is now sorted and I will be catching up with them next.

Thirdly...
There's lots of news to catch up on regarding the salon and what's going to happen in the not too near future.....Watch this space!!

A little c***k of light.
My son has just offered to give me his car to sell so I can get the work started to convert my garage at home to keep grooming.
This is an unbelievable offer, means the absolute world to me and set me off crying again!!!!

I'm absolutely devastated to let you all know that yet again the government have given me the final blow. At the beginning of lockdown the government said groomers were only allowed to do welfare grooms or grooms referred by a vet by appointment. Now government have decided that groomers should not have been entitled to any grant support from the council.
Without any help and believe me I've tried, I'll have no choice but to close permanently.
I started with very little, put my heart and sole in to what it is today and you know the salon is my baby so I'll keep fighting this all the way

Morning folks...

Sorry I've not posted earlier, but I needed to get my head round all the information that's flying around and what it means for my little salon.

So Boris has set his provisional road map to bring us all out of lockdown. These dates are not set in stone as many factors need to be going in the right direction for it to work.

Unfortunately because I'm classed as non essential I'm in the group that hopefully will open on the 12th April 😭
if all goes to plan!

I know your all chomping at the bit to get booked in, but until I get clear guidance from DEFRA, PIF and B**A I will not be taking any bookings and I feel in all fairness priority must go to all clients that missed appointments during lockdown.

Please bare with me and I'll be in contact as soon as things are clear.

P.S I'm still having problems trying to retrieve messages through the page. From seeing post by fellow groomers we're all in the same position. I'll keep trying and hopefully get things sorted a.s.a.p.
